I think he will be a top RB in college. 6'3 240 how is that too big to run the ball, plus he has good speed and can make you miss.

If I was a coach I take him and put him at RB, can always move him.

Running behind the Alabama Line with the QB and WR's they have watch out...

Will be fun to watch Taylor/Lane VS Henry/Tenpenny

If he can alter his running style, run a little lower, etc he'll be a good back in the SEC. Not great, but good.

He's a strong kid with good power in his legs and keeps them moving. But I don't think he has the balance or vision to be a great back. Watched him in the Army game and he was physically superior to the LBs and DBs and gained most of his yards that way. Won't happen in college.

He definitely has the size/frame to put that kind of mass on it. I'd like to see him eventually get to 245....without losing any speed.

That's hard but if he can pull it off then more power to him

Agreed.

But go back and watch the Gators play FSU this year (if you still have it on DVR) and look how thin Matt looks at 225.

I think we've had this conversation before. FWIW, I think Henry is probably the third best RB in their class coming in and will the last to get in the rotation. I'm a little worried about where he'll be by his junior year. He just needs a little coaching. If they find a significant role for him, he will be dangerous.

I like the Jones comparison, but Jones is not as fast or athletic, and not nearly as big. I still need to see him taking those quick handoffs inside and hit the hole like Gillislie and Brown did so well. Unless our offense is changing a lot, that's going to be a big part of running game. I like Taylor in that role and expect Brown to be in the mix. Jones seems more like a toss sweep, swing or screen pass sort of guy. Maybe we start running more toss sweep plays. Jones is very dangerous once he gets his legs moving.

Agree, he's got a huge frame and can probably hit 240 without any appreciable loss of speed or quickness.

Brown is going to be great if giving the chance, hopefully he not ignored, he has payed her dues .4 years and waiting at UF.

Is brown going to be a rs junior right, or is he a rs senior going into next yr?

Jones could get to 265. Well, a GC forumer insisted, awhile back, that LeBron James was 275 with single-digits bodyfat.

I think 225 is enough for Jones. What was Trent Richardson, 220ish?

Whether you meant to or not, that was perfectly phrased. :-)

That sounds about right, but TR wasn't 6'2" tall. Could you imagine Jones and Henry playing for the Gators?

Yes I could have easily imagined Jones and Henry playing for our gators. Very disappointed to see Henry at BAMA.

I think we'll see plenty of Mack Brown next year too.

Well I don't know exactly about now but next year for sure. This year he was a late bloomer, which will follow into next year. But he will be a rock star for the next few years

I hope that we can to match the bammer model of 2 very productive RBs. I look forward in having 2 1000-yard rushers and 2 750-yard WRs every year.
