Wr's next year?

If debose keeps going how he has been I imagine him #2 with his speed.
Then it all depends I imagine Dunbar will be #1 especially an off season working with Joker Phillips, in all reality all the Florida receivers should benefit with a whole off season to work with Joker Phillips, and with Brent Pease in his offensive system.
Then you have 3-4 which I think relies entirely on the off season of workouts. You can't really tell right now, and plus there is different offensive plays that require different personnel. I imagine 3-4 will be Robinson/Fulwood. Then Bailey/Patton as your two slot receivers.
Why they haven't utilized Patton's speed with deep threats is beyond me. Next year I think you can bet that Patton/Bailey/Clark will all be utilized for their quickness toward deep threats. Along with Dunbar/Robinson/Fulwood, which all three can be utilized for deep passes because of their height.
I think next year if Debose gets out of the dog house you can guarantee he will be used more.
It all depends on really who has the best offseason workouts, but with true slot receivers coming in, and along with our taller deep threats we got you can assure the pass game should be a night and day difference next year.

Another good question is who will start Jeff or Skylar ... Mornhinweg did come out more as a polished pocket passer and Pease recruited him peraonally

Think Jeff unless he no improvement in the off season. He just needs to read and take what they give us. WR's were open, he did not have time, or ran too early, or held it too long.
We can throw for 225 a game next year...

225 plus I believe I think driskel is the guy but everyone is bringing that up... He just needs to learn to pass first, then run second

Whoever shows up in Spring and Summer ready to play, work hard, have no entitlement and perform when given a chance...

I'm just excited about our options. Obvious upgrade in WR talent since 2010.

No chance in hell Mornhinweg starts if Jeff is healthy.

It is really not about who starts in this offense. The offense is all about personnel packages

I'd put money on Pittman or Patton. Don't rule out Andrades. If another true freshman steps up, it will more likely be Hawkins. He's the most physically developed of the freshman receivers, and the most technically advanced other than Robinson. Fullwood has a very high ceiling, but needs a lot of time in the weight room.

The wr position should be better next year, I assume there will be an open competition in the spring/fall. I'm interested in how the TE position develops moving forward w/Taylor & Thompson.

We need Pittman, Robinson and Fullwood to make a serious move. Debose is a kick returner, Patton and Dunbar are 2/3 type guys.
Any idea that Jeff won't be starting is a joke. The guy hit a but of a wall but his overall performance was excellent. I look forward to seeing how much more he improves next year.

Dunbar mystifies me a bit. He's supposed to have scintillating speed but tends to be used as a possession guy.

Not sure that he's that fast, but he's the only WR with reliable hands, plus he's got good size and strength. He is the best possession receiver whether he's good on longer routes or not. That was more valuable in this past season's version of UF's offense.

I remember reading that he was the fastest on the team. It's Louis Murphy all over again. Remember when we refused to believe, at least momentarily, that Murphy was the speed demon he turned out to be ?

Dunbar
Debose
Robinson
Pittman

Dunbar is #1.
After that it's a mixed bag. Patton will continue to be the jet sweep guy, but probably isn't going to be catching a lot of passes in this offense.
Debose is a mystery but can't be counted on.
Andrades and Pittman are going to have a tough tough battle with the incoming freshmen to see the field.
I have a feeling that UF will have at least 3 freshmen with significant playing time at WR, and wouldn't be surprised if one or two were starters.

Dunbar is not a #1. Trying to jam him into that role is the reason for the perception that he has underachieved. Florida needs a Pittman/Robinson/Fullwood to step up and be next years Amari Cooper. If one of those 3 does, then Dunbar, Patton, and Debose could be very effective complimentary players. If not, we will continue to be inconsistent in the passing game. An improved OL should help the WRs and QB develop.

...which is a shame. Kid looks promising if we could get him in open space. We know he made some nice runs before he got hurt.
Interesting Patton Fact: He had ONE reception this year. It's a crying shame, it really is...

It was always a bit curious to me that there was a HUGE continuity between Brandon James the punt returner and Brandon James the wide receiver. As a punt returner, he always made you miss. As a wide receiver, even in space, he rarely made you miss. Granted, he did get us some key first downs as wide receiver.

...and that reception was on a busted play when Driskel was running around and Patton happened to break off his route and head towards the sidelines. Got us a first down too.
He's an important cog in our offense (even if for nothing more than misdirection) and his jet sweeps were usually good for 7-11 yards every time he got it. But he's got more to offer and really hope he's looked at a bit more next season.

Patton was very important this year. Our offense struggled without him, especially in the Georgia game. Again, he is the type of player that can be a very effective role player playing around more dominant players. We need to find a true #1. Whoever he is, he did not play significant minutes this season.

You have to be crazy to think Driskel loses his job. Why would Jacoby transfer if that were the case? Marty's kid will compete with Grier in 2015.

Right or wrong I was always under the impression that Morningweg was another Schottenheimer. A kid with good talent but not up to UF standards. Came to learn coaching from a top tier program.

What about Jacobs, or does he leave. The people wanting to see Murphy might get there chance. Not as the starter but the chances Jeff misses 1 game is good.

Could be. They have about the same rankings and similar size. Nobody expected Cooper to be quite this good, but that system can do a lot for a really good, but not necessarily spectacular receiver. It's a lot easier to get open when your team runs that often and that effectively. Doesn't hurt that the QB is protected by future first round draft choices. Our offense has to improve to be able to do that.
Personally, I don't care if it's Robinson who breaks out or a current player. Who knows what can happen with a top drawer WR coach, continued development at QB and a significant upgrade in OL talent. I do think Robinson is one of the best bets. He is big, fast, strong and very polished skill wise. I'll say it again, don't rule out Hawkins. He's very physical.

I think Dunbar can be a 1. Not only that, I believe that he is the leader going into the clubhouse for that position. It is his to lose. He was our best WR last year, and will go into this year as the only experienced WR. Unless Robinson or Fulwood have incredible practices, I see Dunbar starting and being Driskel's primary target. After that, it's anyone's guess.

I honestly think Robinson could come in and at some point take away the number 1 spot from Dunbar his freshman year. But it's anyone's guess with all that.
What I'm really interested in seeing is the combination of receivers will be out on the field in certain situations. We will have a unique set of talent at receiver unlike we've seen in a while. Fulwood, Robinson, and Hawkins all being over 6'2", add size and physicality which is something we've been missing and needing. Only thing lacking there will be experience, knowledge and recognition. But that will come with time. (Add in Dunbar in this list as well)
And the speedy, playmaking guys. Bailey, Patton, Thompson, Debose and possibly Pittman (let's see where his development is in spring to see for sure). They have the speed to burn and could really stretch the field and get open when put in positions for a big mismatch against safety's and backers.
It will be fun to see how all these receivers will be used on the field. There are many touchdowns to be scored by this unit. I, for one, think this is a scary good group that will provide us with some fireworks and lots of em
