I'll try that tomorrow too! I always have omelets or scrambled eggs without most of the yolks. High in protein, low in calories. Egg white protein digests slower than whey so you stay fuller longer.

if you're basically throwing half the egg away, why not just buy a carton of egg whites?

We use the carton of egg whites, but to be fair it's not the same as a real fresh egg.

Pretty cool method though I've never had a problem separating eggs and whites with just the shell. The one issue I see here is if you keep cracking the eggs into the one bowl if the yolk breaks you are screwed and have to restart.

i just use my fingers. the chef i apprenticed under when i was young saw me doing it with the shell..comes running over and in a thick german accent asked me "who do think you are betty fuC&in crocker?" i never used the shells again!
