I don't know what years you were there, but dorm food during the late seventies and early eighties was horrible, especially compared with dorm food today. Back then, Serv-omation had the contact. We called them "Starv-omation." The dining halls at my kids' schools blew my mind. My daughter gets steak and lobster once a week, though not on the same night. There's a steak night and there's a lobster night. They have a pizza oven, pasta, anti-pasta buffet and salad bar on one floor, then sushi, stir fry, and a total pan-Asian buffet on one floor. That's every night of the week. No wonder she's in such a hurry to go back. She used to love my cooking, but I can't compete with that.

So does every signee eventually get a "stalked for a day" thread?

Man, I loved the food back in 2000-2003. I practically lived in the dining halls with good 'ol Mike Pearson and Max Starks.

It's nice to see that Demarcus is back on speaking terms with his coach after losing him all that Clemson money. Forgive and forget Coach!

What I really want to know about DRob: Is he recruiting for us like Washington is?

Pretty sure he can't recruit anymore once enrolled just like our other enrolled players can't recruit.

I'm happy that in the end he made the decision for him. He wanted to be a Gator so bad and he's everything a school, coach, and fan-base could want in a student athlete. Can't wait to see him on the field!

What a special group of players in this class.

Absolutely.

Not only did he pull Ahmad Fulwood and Alvin Bailey, where both situations were not boding well in the beginning... BUT we get Demarcus Robinson in the end. Totally fulfilled this position of need.

Also pulling 3 LB's of Daniel McMillian, Alex Anzalone and Matt Rolin is pretty unbelievable... Actually getting McMillian's commit pretty early, we still had to keep him in the fold against the likes of FSU and Bama. And then flipping the latter 2.

This year's class is going to pan out. I have very little doubts.

“I stay in contact with him and the coaches there once or twice a week,” Peach County head coach Chad Campbell told the Macon (Ga.) Telegraph on National Signing Day. “They are just ecstatic to have him, and he’s been doing great his first month there. He seems to be happy, and it’s unfortunate that he’s not here [for the NSD ceremony], but he’s frying bigger fish down there.”

Robinson caught 47 passes for 957 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior at Peach County. He had more than 1,000 yards receiving as a junior.

Here is our Q&A with Robinson:

Q: You got a lot of attention during the recruiting process. What’s it like to finally have that behind you?

A: A lot of relief and a lot of stress off my chest to finally be done with it. I’m excited to be here.

Q: What do you hope to use to your advantage by being an early enrollee?

A: Just to get in the weight room early and get bigger, get physical, and to learn more of the plays. I want to get more acquainted with the coaches and players so I can learn from them.

Q: What do you think is your biggest asset at this stage of your career?

A: Really just being able to get into the weight room and getting physical.

Q: Have you already added some weight since you’ve been here?

A: Oh yeah. I was like 195 when I got here but I’m like 203 now.

Q: When you are doing what you want to do on the field, how would you describe it?

A: Man, I just go out there and have fun and try to complete my assignment on every play. I want to go harder than the person across from me.

Q: Any personal connections to UF?

A: A very close friend, Jacquez Green played here. He went to my high school. We grew up in the same town.

Q: How much of a factor did Jacquez play in you wanting to come here?

A: A very big factor. We used to communicate a lot just to talk about it and see what it’s like down here. It feels like I made the right decision.

Q: What’s something about you that people might not know?

A: I do acrobatic flips.

Q: Have you had time to check out the Gators gymnastics team yet?

A: Yeah, I’ve been to a gymnastics meet against Auburn.

Q: What did you think?

A: They’re good.

Q: What would be the ideal scenario for you heading into your first season?

A: Just to get good with the plays and try to get on the field early and show the people what I can do.

This is true, but I wouldn't be overly concerned. We'll be better on O next year, I don't think there's much question of that. The question is how much better.

Until recently, you couldn't choose that jersey number. When SOS un-retired it along with #55, it was set aside for players who earned it by fighting through adversity to get on the field.

Glad to see him wearing it. Now, Driskel will look downfield and mistake Robinson for Reed and try to throw it to him on every other down.
