Love this passage:

"A whole new wave of Obama supporters still don’t even know: They’ll get their first 2013 paychecks on the 15th of the month. So when you’re shooting the breeze in the lunchroom with your grumbling co-workers on the 16th, just ask them, “Who’d you vote for in November?” When they say Mr. Obama, just tell them: “Well, you got what you voted for. You did know he was going to raise taxes, right?”

LMAO- Funny how the lefty, libbies who think "only the rich" will pay, are now awakening to the fact that they are them.

What's the difference between being a cult leader or a terrorist?

Wait, I thought Obama qualified as both?

Yeah it was pretty obvious Obama was going to raise taxes on near everybody

Truthfully the GOP would have also, either via the end of the "holiday" or through other means. The GOP is notorious for using fees and similar means to raise taxes without actually raising something with a tax in the name.

The funniest thing is that the leftist voters actually thought their taxes would go down because Obama was pitching it, even though he was just talking an extension of current tax rates. Both sides do it, and that's the deception we face in America.

Politicians don't realize us normal working folk get used to our income. We adapt to it. Especially those that don't make much. If our taxes were lowered a handful of years ago we've adapted our spending to match the new income. Any increase in government "revenue" from our income is a tax; whether you disguise as payroll, a fee, income tax, etc. We will adapt, but without a doubt Obama lied to the middle class.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/jan/6/obama-supporters-shocked-angry-new-tax-increases/

Sometimes, watching a Democrat learn something is wonderful, like seeing the family dog finally sit and stay at your command.
“What happened that my Social Security withholding’s in my paycheck just went up?” a poster wrote on the liberal site DemocraticUnderground.com. “My paycheck just went down by an amount that I don’t feel comfortable with. I guarantee this decrease is gonna’ hurt me more than the increase in income taxes will hurt those making over 400 grand. What happened?”

So this week, as taxes went up for millions of Americans — which Republicans predicted throughout the campaign would happen — it was fun to watch the agoggery of the left.

How many Americans? The nonpartisan Tax Policy Center in Washington put the total at 77.1 percent of all wage earners. In fact, “More than 80 percent of households with incomes between $50,000 and $200,000 would pay higher taxes. Among the households facing higher taxes, the average increase would be $1,635, the policy center said,” according to a Bloomberg News article. Hilariously, the tax burden will rise more for someone making $30,000 a year (1.7 percent) than it does for someone earning $500,000 annually (1.3 percent).

A whole new wave of Obama supporters still don’t even know: They’ll get their first 2013 paychecks on the 15th of the month. So when you’re shooting the breeze in the lunchroom with your grumbling co-workers on the 16th, just ask them, “Who’d you vote for in November?” When they say Mr. Obama, just tell them: “Well, you got what you voted for. You did know he was going to raise taxes, right?”

The looks on their faces will be priceless.

It is sad that those who actually need the welfare check will suffer. I don't make 400k a year but I make enough money that the small payroll increase won't hurt me but maybe a few less bottles of nice wine. Life as I have learned it is always paying for the sins of others.

The one that's are leeching off the system, I don't feel sorry for them at all!

I get that both sides lie, and I get that the ignorant voters on both sides are blind to the ugly truths about those they blindly support. The most troubling thing to me about the Obama elections is the way the media has lined up behind him and lied when they are supposed to be exposing the lies on both sides. Not sure how to fix that broken part of our system other than refuse to watch or subscribe to the major offenders (which the declining numbers for CNN, MSNBC, TNYT and others seem to reflect a growing number of Americans are doing) but it is truly a danger IMO to our democracy where the press is supposed to be free and on the side of the people, not a party or politician.

Rich people don't buy up the media to tell the truth or expose lies, they buy up the media to control and shape minds.

Just wait until Obamacare kicks in and his supporters start having their tax returns garnished for not having enough health insurance.

Fred only reads those publications that affirm his far left wing beliefs. If Fox or the Washington times stated that the sun rose in the East - Fred wouldn't beleive it.

Liberals are the only people truly concerned about the debt. Conservatives concerns fade after Election Day.

I couldn't care less about the end of the tax holiday. It never should have happened at all.

SS should never be a bargaining chip.

You're right about that, SS shouldn't be around to even be a bargaining chip

There is no lockbox, so a decrease of the payroll tax impacts SS the same as a reduction of any other revenue source.

There needs to be a lockbox that is professionally managed. In that case you'd have a point, but then again, in that case the tax could decrease 5+% for both the worker and the company and we'd have equivalent retirement benefits. Wouldn't it be nice to get 10% more per paycheck and still get the same retirement?

I've said this on here many times:

3 or 4 more progressive tax brackets
Tax cap gains as income
Bring home troops/close foreign bases
Cut defense
End corporate welfare

Nothing matters to some voters. They've cultivated such a quasi-spiritual devotion, to a man or party, that everything will be either dismissed or blamed on the man or party they've cultivated a hatred for.

Now, swing-voters may well be disillusioned with Obama about now, but I have little sympathy for them. How could they have not known ?

Nice to know there are facts to dispute this ....almost 16.5 trillion of them.
Libbies had complete control for two years... and have had control of the WH and Senate for the remainder. Debt has risen to all-time level under libbie control (and will continue to rise)...but you already knew that....

Much of that 16.5 trillion was run up under republican administrations including years when republicans controlled both houses of congress as well.

Not as much as BOs who said he'd cut it in half by the end of his tenure. :zombie:
BO's deficit in less than four years is more than GB had in eight years. :whoa:
Granted, Bush stunk at spending.....yet, you will not admit the disgraceful spending under YOUR guy. Will he live up to his pledge to get it cut in half? You know the answer.....

People need to quit pulling for their teams and see the BS taking place in front of them. SPENDING is THE issue...no one can escape that fact.

Problem is we have more and more people who honestly believe that government will solve their problems therefore it is government's responsibility. They've learned that from who? It will become more difficult to win these voters hearts and minds. How will you? By promising responsible spending? By promising budget cuts? These looters and mooches want free chit and will vote for those who promise it.
