After a 5 year battle fighting non-hodgkins T-call lymphoma. He left behind quite a legacy of 40+ years after he attended Rutgers University, Ph.D. in Experimental
Psychology. After finishing his degree, he accepted a position at the University of
Colorado, where he wasa professor until his retirement in 2011.
David was an internationally renowned herpetologist - making significant contributions
to the study of amphibians and reptiles, focusing primarily on the study of predatory
behavior in rattlesnakes. He has given talks at every major state and private university in the county, and in fact gave one at UF during my student days there back in 1990. Just thought I would share, he was 70 years old.

*******************Just a quick addendum: First thank you all for your thoughts
He did have stints as Chairman of the Psychology Dept and Assistant Dean. Being caught between everybody's problems became old quick for him and he is a pure research type of person having 800+ publications and numerous books.

Sorry to hear it. The MIL, also 70, has lymphoma, on her 4th treatment. And one of our dogs has it too (first treatment today.)

He sounds like he left quite a mark. That's quite a resume. Here's to him.

God bless to you on your loss. Cherish the memories, they last longer than the pain of loss.

Thoughts and prayers to you and your family. I lost my big brother a couple years back to MS. He was only 49. It's not easy, but celebrate his life. My brothers wake was a keg party at the house. He wouldn't have had it any other way.

God Bless and comfort you Gatorman. I lost my younger Brother two years ago. I still miss him and yearn to talk to him. My comfort is that he no longer suffers the worries of this world and is in a better one. I care, MamaG.

bless you Gatorman... my baby sister has fought CML for the last 8 years. When she was given the diagnosis, they told her 5-7 years. She works and stays as healthy as possible with rest, good diet.

It makes me realize how valuable life is really is.

May the warm memories you have fill your heart in days to come. Sounds like the "perfect' big brother. God bless you.

I am so happy that your brother left you both a source of pride and memories to remind you of your lives. It is hard now to remember that your pain is a reflection of your joy in your relationship with him. May you get to that place soon.....

Sorry to hear man it's sad... My sister and mother are both battling kidney cancer, my sister is real bad from 140, down to 105 pounds. She is at UAB in Birmingham, great people up there they're very passionate about their job. Sorry to hear once again, it's not fun at all.
