View Full Version : Official Final: Florida-82 vs Southeastern La-43, Wednesday, 7:00 PM, Sun/SportSouth

After coming off an emotionally draining 1 point loss to Arizona the Gators next take on the Lions of Southeastern Louisiana. The Lions come into the O'Dome sporting a less than inspiring 1-7 record with their only victory being a 91-49 shellacking of Louisiana College. They share 2 common foes with Florida, having lost to Wisconsin 87-47 and Marquette 64-53.

There's really not much you can say about this game other than it is sandwiched in between Arizona and Kansas State. It may give the Gators a chance to work on a few things but I don't look for any serious challenge unless our guys just come out flat and uninspired.

Pregame notes are available here (http://www.gatorzone.com/basketball/men/)

You can listen to Mick and Mark here (http://www.wruf.com/listen-live/)

You can read more about SE Louisiana here (http://www.lionsports.net/index.aspx?path=mbball&tab=basketball) and vote in a poll concerning who is their toughest opponent at the same time. Gators are way out in the lead right now.

Have never looked forward to a game against a bad team like I have tonight. Time to put the Az. game in the rear view.

Not the greatest game overall but a good game to get out of the way before Kansas State.

It was a "tiny" hook with the elbow & I don't think it impeded the defensive player from making a play, it wasn't like Murphy extended his arm & held the guy back.

I don't think Frazier passed that to Rosario. I think he dropped the rebound and it bounced to Rosario. Nice way to get an assist. [wink]

Pretty fair assessment. Sort of surprised that Ogbueze and Walker are usually put in before Graham--when Graham's looked better in his limited time. Always see his hands up, selling out on defense whenever he's in...and those are the guys you can tell who are going to go far playing for Donovan. Had a very nice pass and move to the basket in the game too. Whereas Walker and Ogbueze try and shoot almost every time they're even slightly open, Graham looks to pass it around a bit more and plays more unselfishly.

Yea Ogbueze and Walker seem less composed than Graham and wayyyyy less composed than Frazier. Walker seems like he has some athleticism to him but he is going to be a Prather type player IMO. Not sure of himself and then hopefully adds productivity junior year. Ogbueze you can tell has quickness but is just nowhere near ready to get meaningful minutes. You're right, they both shoot almost automatically. Which is okay because I'm sure they're excited but I'd like to see them play within the offense and see how they are when the flow of the offense sets up a shot for them. Instead of hoisting it up if they are within 50 feet of the basket.

Prather can shoot the ball. Walker not so much.
