On BHSN right now. WOW!! Talk about two high powered offenses. 36 points in the first 15 minutes. Live from Jorlando. Go Blue Darters!!!!!!!!!
Not recognizing any player on the field as a Gator recruit for the FL 8A Champ game..??
(Warren Sapp was a Blue Darter).

Now I know where a handful of the NFL replacement refs went.
Alex Montgomery is going to get some urgent communications from colleges tomorrow. 9 catches, 199yds, 3 TDs. Kid is a stud.

Apopka - CBAY was intercepted in the endzone with seconds left -
They probably should have played for the tie in OT to settle it, but I understand the want to win.

Fwiw Montgomery has the muschamp attitude. After a game with~300 yards I talked to him and all he was saying was that they need the team to improve and that he needs to work hard, keep their heads on straight for the next game. Astounding character, he does say his one downside is his speed. Not sure what it is, but ha has been making game winning spectacular catches for 3 years now.

It is strange but 8A was probably the weakest division in the state this year. The 3A,4A,6A&7A champions would have smoked either one of those teams.

STA and Manatee smoked cypress earlier

I agree about 8A being the weakest big class. I coach at a 6A school that made the 2nd round of the playoffs and we would have made some real hay in 8A. I think the big difference is the schools in the south. St. Thomas Aquanis(who should be in their own league but that is another discussion for another time) in 7A and the Miami schools are better in the smaller classes.

The problem with 8A this year was 2 fold Plant was down and South Florida as a whole was down. Cypress Bay was clearly the best 8A team in South Florida but they were literally crushed by 7A powers Manatee and St Thomas during the regular season.
Manatee moves to 8A next year, I am glad to see them get out of St Thomas Aquinas division.

Well, STA also lost to Miramar a team Cypress beat twice to win their district. If anything, 7A, is the weak link in south florida. STA has a pretty easy path in most years.
Caught the second half of the championship and it was a fun game to watch. Too bad the game turned on a terrible personal foul call on CB. To Apopkas credit they took advantage.

Miramar was a joke.....they also played Manatee during the regular season, results Manatee 41 Miramar 6. Cy Bay beat Miramar 17-13 & 34-14. I wouldn't use Miramar as a measuring stick 8A vs 7A it just doesn't work.

Joke? No doubt an up and down team this yr, but they have beaten STA two years in a row and have a recent state championship on their resume. Im not a Miramar fan by any means, but the comparison works just fine for me, but if it doesn't for you that's fine.
Sounds like you're still a little peeved about your teams late season collapse.

Just sayin Miramar lost to Manatee, Boyd Anderson and Northeast all 7A teams and twice to 8A Cypress bay. Yes they did beat STA but to say because 8A miramar beat the 7A champion proves 7A was weak just does not work when the same Miramar team lost to 3 7A teams.

PLant was doing well until Dr. Philips took them out. Then Apopka blasted DP. In five playoff games, APK scored over 50 four times, and over 40 the other.
