I said before the season started Florida will be the best overall team in the SEC in 2013. A few teams might have better offenses than Florida like Georgia and Bama but best team is going to Florida.

I'll tell you what it is. He has deceptive speed. That was the first thing I noticed in the video is that he looks like he's running slow as he blows by people. It's kind of like Matt Jones when he played at Arkansas. He always looked like he was running in slow motion but before anyone realized it, he was part them.

“Man, that’s homeboy,” he said of Robinson. “We just got off the phone. His decision doesn’t bother me at all. I’m excited about it. That’s another great receiver we need on the team. Hopefully me and him can come in and make something happen for Florida’s offense. Both of us on the field at the same time is a hell of a combination.”

Hawkins would know. Their schools played on Nov. 2 and Robinson was assigned to cover Hawkins on defense. Robinson finished with 77 receiving yards and returned a punt 53 yards for a score, but Hawkins’ team won 26-17 and he caught a 10-yard touchdown pass over the new UF commit.

“He tried to guard me, but I scored on him,” Hawkins said laughing. “It was a great to go against each other. I didn’t get a chance to guard him, but I could see he’s a great player. After the game, he told me he was going to decommit from Clemson. So I’ve known for awhile that he was coming to Florida. Now we get to be teammates and I can’t wait.”

Some people didn't think he looked fast on tape (I thought he did) and he was not one for going to camps. These services want kids going to their camps. Demarcus shows up to one camp smokes everybody and then doesn't do another one.

You know, when I used to be heavy into recruiting, it's a known fact that Spurrier did exactly that with RB Fred Taylor.

FSU coveted Fred's services and really recruited him hard, but Fred loved his main UF main recruiter, Ron Zook. So, during the dead period that year before NSD, Spurrier actually had Zook sitting in his car down the street from Fred's home to keep an eye on the FSU coaches who'd already tried to call and visit him during the dead period.

FSU did this with Robert Cromartie and Anquan Boldin to sway them at the last second too. Heck, they had their boosters just buy Boldin's servives.
