Tablet Computer advice

OK, I'm looking to get one. I MUST have a USB port and won't consider one without it. I want to watch flicks/videos, read books, do some light internet surfing and get GPS on it. That's about it.

I'm thinking about the Samsung Galaxy 2 7.0 or 7.7. I think the 7 inch tablet is better than the 10 inch tablet but if others have differing opinions, I'm open to hear 'em.

Is there another you think is better in the $200-$300 or thereabouts price range?

Are there other features I should look at?

There is a thread in the pub about the same thing and I think whomever started it ended up with the Nexus 7. Might want to check in there and see what they have to say about it.

I have an Asus eee pad and love it. My version does not have USB but there are versions that do and obviously there are newer models now since I got mine a year ago.
