He's averaging 16 points, 9.8 boards, 3.5 assists and 2.25 blocks per game. His FG % is .505. Scoring is the biggest improvement. His FG% has barely changed, but he's taking more shots. The most positive sign of his improvement was that 18 footer he hit in OT Wednesday night to beat the Suns. I don't think I've seen him even attempt shots like that, much less hit them. He had 21 points, 12 boards and five assists in that game. This is his team until Rose comes back. I think he'll contribute even more then, just by having better ball movement and more devensive attention on DR.
Speaking of Rose, I wasn't very optimistic about him ever being the player he was before the injury. Then I saw Adrian Peterson gash Detroit Sunday afternoon. He's been 100% since August. I believe he had his surgery, ACL and MCL, last December.

And here are a few reasons Jo is playing so well on offense. Great commentary.

I'm watching him play on Sunday against the Blazers.
Interesting tidbit, Florida basketball has come so far that four Blazer home opponents in a row have Gators on them (Spurs, Atlanta, Houston, Chicago). Never thought our program would put that much talent in the league.

The local Gator club often has pre-game get-togethers at Bulls' home games when one of Joakim's old teammates comes to town. Jo and the other player, usually Horford come in and hang out with the fans. There was at least one where Noah, Richards and Horford were all there. Don't know if they ever did that when Lee came to town, but I know that David and Joakim are still close. Jo went to look in on David when he was hospitalized after a Bulls Warriors game. I think their moms are still friends.
