Erik Murphy had a career game going 10-10 from the field, 2-2 from the free throw line, a team high 8 rebounds, 1 blocked shot, 1 steal and only 1 turnover. This gave Erik a team high Value Score of 110 points, more than the combined value of the next two players, Mike Rosario and Kenny Boynton, with value scores of 54 and 42 respectively.

Besides Murphy's monster game, the story-line was the Gator defense giving the 22nd ranked Wisconsin Badgers fits all night. The Gators jumped out to a double digit lead early and lead by as many as 24 points late into the ball game.

No problem. I'll keep posting as long as there is interest. I personally like to see how the objective, box score-based value scores match up with Tupac's and other's evaluations of how players performed. For the most part they do correlate well. Sometime's the value scores identify suprise leaders, like Yeguete, who aren't flashy but score points, pull down rebounds and don't make turnovers. Their production, stats-wise, are higher valued than others who have higher profiles on the team.

I'll keep posting if I get 150+ views. If it starts dropping below that, then I'm just spamming the board and I'll stop posting.
