We should take him... Normally, I'd say wait for Elijah Daniel, but for starters, he has grade issues... We would also have to flip him from Clemson...
I rather just take Ogundeko and be done with it... It also helps his cause that he is an EE... Would love to add another Defensive kid to spring ball.
He also has size to possibly play OLB... Also, he is rated at the #1 overall in the state of New York.
There's no reason not to want him... other than wait on Elijah Daniel... but we all know how well that works out in the end.

I just want a guy named "Ebenezer" on the Gators. I once acquired a linebacker named Ebenezer Ekuban in a Madden franchise just because his name was so cool.

This kid fits perfect with what the Gator defense is doing. He will be playing early and often.

Notre Dame has reentered the picture.... Though, they've always been there, it's looking like they are trying to make a late push.
He is still visiting here, though. I still think we are the favorite to land him if we wanted him. Just have to give him the green light.

He also has a visit scheduled to Ole Miss for the MSU game the 24th. Hope we lock him up this week.

It seems as if we have the worst luck when putting players on hold because a more talented player is interested in us. I have heard that coaches like Saban will accept a committ but when the better player tells him he wants in, that Saban will pull the scholly inorder to make room. Does anyone know how true this is? Or does Saban scare some away by talking grey shirting?

the only time Saban has really pulled a scholly in the last few years is when someone got hurt. What Saban has done is told kids they no longer have an offer if there positions is filled by someone else but that happens at every school.
What some teams will do is accept a commitment but if they realize they made a mistake they will just stop contacting that prospect. FSU did it to a kid this year just left him hanging in the wind eventually he decommitted from FSU and chose Wisconsin

That's not entirely true. Sometimes Saban will decide to fill a kid's spot with another player and he'll tell the kid who originally committed that he can still sign with Bama, but he will have to wait until January (i.e. the kid will have to "grayshirt").
For example:

Did you read the story ? He tore his knee. I didn't explain it well either so my bad on that part I will take the blame. Saban has told kids they have to wait an enroll in Jan if they are hurt, he did it to a kid who ended up signing with Kentucky as well.

Saban has designated 'medical hardship' on players who are recovered, but Saban wants to cut them because they are of no use to him. I remember a kid transferring and playing elsewhere after that happened at Bama.

I read it and it should have been obvious to anyone else that read it that Saban used this injury as an excuse to cut the kid lose once he got a commitment from someone better.

Yep, and any attempt to suggest otherwise is simply being a Saban apologist.

He did it to two kids last year, both were injured. He doesn't apologize for it so he def not using it as a excuse. He tells them to stay home rehab and he will let them enroll next January. I can see why some say its a bad practice. Just this year a kid who was committed to Ole miss got injured and they took his scholarship offer away same thing happen at Oklahoma.
The 2nd part, medical hardship happen all the time and the kid transfers to another school and plays. How do you think we got Dan Wenger? Notre Dame would not clear him medically but Florida did.

That alone raises his value. I've liked him all along.
Is he fast? I know they're not always reliable, but I saw some really slow 40 times listed for him.

he has a slow 40 time but he is very quick off the line and he plays faster than his 40 time.

Transferred to UF for his senior year. Played last season, then I assume he graduated. My guess is he has a great job somewhere. Who wouldn't hire someone as persistent as Dan?

Ive been on Ogundeko for quite some time. (Not that Im a guru...) but we desperately need some edge rushers. OUr defense would be even more lethal if we had a bad ass edge rusher along with Larentee (this year) or Powell next year.
