Nine ACC teams (they did find a football game they can play)
Florida is a #2 Seed in the same bracket with the Noles

stupid question, but why does the soccer team wear adidas instead of nike? seems odd that nike contract didn't/doesn't include soccer?

Nike soccer gear sucks.
Florida wins 2-0 and holds FGCU without a shot

It's a shame that senior Jo Dragotta missed this game, and may miss more in the tournament. She was hurt in the second half of the SEC tournament finals against Auburn. The Gators had a secure lead, so rough play wasn't going to help The Tigers. But that didn't matter to their midfielder, Cates, who hit Jo with a deliberate elbow to her temple under the pretense of challenging for the ball. Jo needed a neck brace just to get off the field (after 10 scary minutes lying on the field).
Cates, who already had a yellow card for a rash challenge, not only wasn't ejected but wasn't even called for a foul. Then, she had another hard foul very late in the game. The Gators demonstrated much more self control than I would have. I would've expected Cates to have had very little chance for committing another foul, because of her own "unfortunate" injury.

UCF beat Miami on penalties last night, so we will face them on Friday in the 2nd round.
3rd round Sunday vs #3 seed Wake Forest/Notre Dame winner if we advance.

2nd round tonight vs UCF at 7.
Notre Dame just came from behind to upset Wake Forest 2-1 in the opener, so we will play them on Sunday if we advance.

Beat UCF 1-0. Phew! Pretty dominant effort, but just got the one goal from Travis in the second half. On to the matchup now with Notre Dame in the Sweet 16 on Sunday.
In other breaking news, FSU is tied 2-2 with Texas Tech in OT. If they somehow lose, we would have home-field advantage until the Final Four. Fingers crossed!

Unfortunately FSU just pulled it out 3-2 in OT. So they will face Texas A&M Sunday in the other Sweet 16 matchup in our bracket.

Could be anytime Fri-Sun, pretty much at the host team's discretion, but it won't be announced until after today's games. If that's how it plays out, I'm guessing SunSports would want to pick it up, so that will probably play in to the schedule as well. Would make for quite an interesting weekend in Tally regardless.

Lost 2-0 to Notre Dame. Yet another disappointing end to a promising women's soccer season.

This seems to be the same theme every year for the soccer team now, we can only get so far. Well, at least we are getting to the tourney though. But honestly with the facilities we have and the weather, I think this program could do alot more.
