View Full Version : Reviews of UF freshmen
Florida coach Billy Donovan said he doesn't expect any impact players to emerge in the 2012 freshman class.
“Do I see any of those guys like I did at this point in time last year like Brad Beal? No,” Donovan said. “But he was the third player taken in the (NBA ) draft.”
But Donovan has been pleased with the attitude of the freshmen and their ability to push through fatigue. Whether that translates into any of the four serving a significant role this season remains to be seen.

Wow! WY adds 16# and drops his body fat by 1%, he is going to be a force.

What stuck out to me the most was how we are using Yeguete. Last year, we struggled early with him and Murphy on the floor together and we were weak both offensively and defensively the few times we put him at the five with Prather at the four (no surprise really). But if he has added that strength and it can give him a little more bulk to defend the post and establish his own position on the blocks, then our post rotation will be far more effective since you can really play any of those three together, go big with Larson, or small with Prather.

I spoke with Will at the Ky game and he has some serious guns now. His smile is broader than anything else though!

Would be nice to see Graham & Frazier add more bulk to be able to play some at the 3. Maybe Walker if farther along than I thought. I guessed he might be a RS candidate if Prather continued to progress and Yeguette was going to spend some time at the 3.
Any word if Boynton is trying to run the point or just sticking to the 2? I actually thought Rosario would play some at the 3 in the 3 guard set as the best 3 guards are Boynton, Wilbekin & Rosario.
Any word on Larson if he is going to be able to give 8-12 minutes this season? 25 Min for Young, Murphy & WY still leaves us a few short.
