Florida still wants him and he will come to visit twice. This weekend and then again in December. Gators never stopped recruiting him and now he's interested in them. With all the doubts concerning Coach Gene Chizik and the disappointing season, look for Florida to flip him. Whenever a coach's job is on the line, these players begin to have second thoughts.

I was wondering when one of their solo middle linebacker prospects behind Reuben Foster was going to start looking around. I hope Antonio Riles is in his ear about the gators... Solid MLB prospect, just like Hearns, in case Hearns decides to follow UM

Good looking prospect. Might be better than Anzalone. Any way we can take both? Could either Hearns or McMillan project at Buck? Or maybe Anzalone.

Powell, if he grows, has the speed for sure. Sherit, before the ACL, could have been; but I think we want Elijah Daniel at buck still...

Powell is really small. Hard to imagine him getting up to 245-250. Daniel is big, but if he has wheels like Fowler, he could play there, though I don't see DEs in this class with Fowler's size and speed. I don't know that we'll find a player in every class who can play Buck. I think it's going to be a bit of a guessing game with most of the bigger ones ending up at SSDE and the smaller ones at Sam. I like the trajectory that McCray took, starting off as a Sam, then going back and forth between Sam and DE, then finally blossoming as a Buck his senior year. Sam demands a lot of the same skills, a mix of pass coverage, pass rushing and run containment. A 230 pound freshman Sam could easily get to 255 by his junior year.

Daniel goes to Avon HS here in Indiana.... Avon, and Brownsburg HS (Kyle's HS) are huge rivals! Too bad Daniel's team was so poor this season. But Kyle's HS went undefeated and won the conference championship!

Nice, hope we keep Hearns if he wants to be a Gator but looks like staff can let him know he will be replaced easily enough. It cannot be a bad thing for a commit to know he can't
hurt the staff or class if for some reason he is feeling unloved.
On one hand, I like Hearn's size if he's already at 230 but if already 6'3 230 he might not be a LB.
Anyone know if staff thinks of him as pure LB or possibly Buck?

Powell is really small. Hard to imagine him getting up to 245-250. I've had the suspicion Powell may never make it to LB size. He might add some depth if he ever hits 220+ but from what I remember his frame is really small for a LB and he might have been weighed at 195 just a year ago. Has that changed much? I'm just wondering if, since he can run so well should he not go ahead and try to play S/SS? Just hope the best for him and he finds a way to contribute.
