View Full Version : Deleting Google Chrome

I was looking for unused programs to delete and came up with this one - Google Chrome.

I dont think I ever use it. I went to delete it and got a message asking me if I am sure I want to lose it and browing info.

Would I be good to go deleting it?

Its just a browser. Guessing you don't use it though so shouldn't be a problem.

I would keep Google Chrome and delete everything but Internet Explorer. I have found in the past that every once in a while I will run across a site or a video that will only run on IE so I kept that just in case. I used to use Firefox but it just got slower and slower. I've been using Chrome for about a year now and I love it.

I canned Chrome because my Mac runs Leopard and Chrome (for some inexplicable reason) no longer supports that version of OSX. Now, Chrome can't run any sites with Flash which includes most, if not all, web traffice...bu-bye Google (you arrogant pricks).

Chrome is good but I am a Firefox guy. Now if we can only get an Opera fan to chime in we'll have a full deck.

I lost interest in opera after Pavarotti died.


Maybe you meant a different thing and/or I'm playing with a full deck. ;-)

Uh ... what?

Chrome handles Flash just fine. There's a built-in Flash plugin. It doesn't work on Android but that's because the mobile world is phasing out Flash support ... because Flash is awkward and a security risk.

As for "most if not all web traffic" being Flash ... again, another "no" here.
