He'll get one eventually. We have no fears that 'if we don't offer him he'll commit somewhere else.' We'll take our time to flip Denson... I mean, he is already as good as flipped... all we have to do is offer. Believe me, it'll come.

At some point they will stop recruiting Tunsil, most likely when he commits somewhere else. I am HOPING our staff will take Trent Brown before that happens. No reason to keep this guy on the back-burner for Tunsil.... Brown will be able to come in and play right away anyways.

Sooooo, counting Humphries and Moore, our OT situation will improve with Brown... these guys + those who are not graduating this year will make a solid line. I am unsure if Garcia is going to play OT or OG.

We need more inside OL in this class imho. And if the goal was to take 5 OL this class, then we could easily, easily, take (OT)Trenton Brown, (OG) Octavius Jackson, (OG) Ira Denson, (OG) Derrick Dawson, (OC) Cameron Dillard.

That scenario completely stabilizes our line....

Halapio, Koehne and Harrison will more than likely be returning unless 1-2 of them project high in the draft... I am unsure at this point, I don't look at draft stuff until after the season anyhow.

That gives our coaches a full season with a bunch of Guards.... and with the 3 best inside guys we have leaving after next season, I think this would make for a good transition.

We don't have enough space on the roster for all of those O lineman... Unless we don't want to take any other players at other positions.

BTW, we just offered Miami commit Alex Collins, a speedy shifty RB. I thought we were set with our 2 current commits. Any idea why we are looking at him. He'd be good at Jet sweeps but so would Bailey... Are we deciding to never throw the ball again???

We have ruled out the pass, we are going to the vear and triple option. The only time our team will have the ball pass the line of scrimmage in the air will be on a punt.:joecool:

Yes Ira is as good as flipped if they offer the big question is are they going to offer him. Right now he is behind Dawson Johnson and Brown.

It looks like Garcia will start at guard next year but he gives the staff some flexiblity so does Moore.

I am not too worried about the staff knows what its doing they are just not as high on Ira as some fans are. I am actually glad they didnt get sucked into some camp perfromances.

I don't think we'll get Johnson.

Brown is a take whenever the staff wants to give up on Tunsil. Hopefully sooner than that.

Dawson is a Florida commit whenever he visits. I think he visits, but you never know. He could never come to Gainesville.

Denson is our NSD flip, maybe sooner than that. I think this because, for one, we need OL depth. For two, he is the best OL the Noles have and anytime we can take away the best of ANYTHING the Noles have is a WIN. And lastly, it's always been in the plans to take on 4-5 OL since we only got 2 last year... and the year before that. Moore and Garcia help, but we can't kid ourselves... as in, we have a lot of OL leaving in the next 2 years. Things look good now, but with some added depth from some SOLID guys, whether they had great summer camps or good seasons, our line could be great for years to come.

There was 2 things that I was pretty sure about when the cycle started. First, we would take 5 WR's. We have a young QB with very little targets. Taking on 5 WR's seemed like a lot a few months ago, but it's making perfect sense now. Secondly, we would take 5 OL. Now, I don't know if taking on Moore or Garcia changes that number to 4 or not. I am inclined to say that it does change the number to 4, but I am almost certain that if we have the extra scholly when it's all said and done, it's going to the OL.

I agree. Walker isn't flipping. I'd much rather see that scholly go to Montravius Adams anywhere, lol.

They just got Derrick Henry and now Daub is in the mix. Well, I say they can have em. To me, Walker seems like a primadonna. Henry tried to recruit Tunsil to UGA on his visit to The Swamp. And Daub tried to commit to us and we told him to wait, I heard he is kinda a headcase.

Although coveted and I would enjoy it to see any of those guys to commit to FL, I think we are dodging bullets. :joecool:

I agree with you I think we get Dawson and thats would be one of the reasons we dont take Ira. They will want another outside guy.

A big reasons the fans want Ira is to stick it to the noles an if this was Urban or SOS I would say its going to happen. But this staff seems not to care about those type of things and just wants the best player available. If the staff was high on Ira they woud have already offered.

The WR thing it looks like Robinson or bust now. I could see us getting Coley at the last minute which would be epic (just a gut feeling).

Last thing if its Alex collins or Ira I am taking Alex nto saying we have a choice just that I would take him over Ira.

I guess this is where we differ. I'd rather see that scholly go to Denson. I was under the impression that Alvin Bailey owned this spot... but I guess the staff just wants another RB... period. I rather we didn't go after another RB since we already have Taylor and Lane. I wish we would shut down RB's right now and sell all of that early time to Sony Michel... There's no need to scare him off this early.

I am not worried though. I don't think Collins will commit to Florida. He is too far south and too decent of a RB to not go to Miami. That's just my opinion though.

All said and done, I think we'll sign Taylor and Lane and that'll be it.

Well, After Dante Fowler Jr last year and if we get Ira Denson this year, a large portion of our fanbase will be EXPECTING a FSUcks flip every year.

And I think, by the time we offer him, he will be the best player available. I know it will get to that. It does every year. We never close out the year busting at the seams... we always have room to take more than we do. And after the spots we didn't use last year and the talent still available now and depending on how many leave... I think there will be a good chance that he'll have a shot at joining the class. Whether or not that happens, we'll all just have to be patient and wait and see... hehe.

I dont think we get Collins but Collins > Bailey not saying I dont like Bailey (he might solve that PR issue next year). If Collins were smart he would go play for the Badgers. Sony is going to one of our rivals I think we will do real well with the RB IN 2014 Despite missing out on Sony.

When are you going to do the mock 2014 recruiting draft you talked about a month ago??

I think it's a bit early for a full-on mock 2014 class, myself...

But I got 10 guys who are most likely to be Gators.

1) QB - Will Grier - Seems to be the QB we like up to this point. I'm sure more names will arise, but if he commits early, we may never look back. We'll see what most of the big names can do next summer at the camps... Hopefully Grier can hang.

2) OT - KC McDermott - We absolutely have to pull him in. Top 3 Tackle next year. He has already visited and I think we have to be the favorite at this point. It's still early and he can go virtually anywhere he wants to. I think he stays home, like he wants to, and attends the U of F.

3) DB - Duke Dawson - Electrifying DB. Currently holding 4 offers (UF, FSU, Wisconsin, Tenn). He will be one of the higher ranked DB's in our state, if not the best. When Fred Taylor was asked if he watched any other FL HS kids besides his son, he named Duke. I think he is all Gator.

4) WR - Artavis Scott - Currently holding a Florida offer, among others. Small and speedy. He's a Tampa area kid, so we usually clean up there.

5) OG - Garrett Brumfield - This guys goes to High School on the LSU campus... but he is showing some real interest. I think he just wants to get away from Louisiana... Kinda like Tunsil with Florida this year. It's a long shot, but if he is serious, we would snap up his commit asap. He may turn out to be one of the top OG's in the nation.

6) LB - Raekwon McMillan - If we are choosing to pass on Kain Daub, then McMillan is the guy we need to target. He already has an offer from us and just about every other major BCS school. We do good with kids from Georgia... I am hoping Boom makes this kid one of his top personal recruits.

7) DT - Khairi Clark - 6'3" / 311. Kid is a beast. He has a ton of SEC offers along with offers from Clemson, FSU, Miami, Notre Dame and Wisconsin, among others. I think this one is going to end up being an in-state tug-of-war. Hopefully we can win out. Clark and Valentine would be a good combo for this class.

8) WR - Ermon Lane - He will be one of the top WR's in the state. He is waiting on the Gator offer, but he is already being courted by the likes of LSU, Miami, Alabama and FSU. Bama and FSU are his leaders, but it's looking like we would instantly join a 3-way race if we were to offer.

9) DE - Bryson Allen-Williams - WDE from Georgia. Looking like a pretty good target. This position looks weak to me, but Allen-Williams is a legit target. Could be a Buck candidate.

10) RB - Sony Michel - Though, as GatorAZ pointed out, he'll probably commit to one of our rivals, but we will be taking a shot at the states best RB. We have a shot as good as any. I am hopeful, but I don't think we have much of a chance. But with my tenth selection, I had to put the best RB available, as after Michel, it will be a pretty sharp decline, talent-wise.

Ryeshene Bronson and Travonte Valentine are ideal building blocks. Both are looks like they will be in the top 3 of their positions in the state. Both seem to be all in.

The FSU player to flip will be DeMarcus Christmas. Even though he is a relative new commit in a cycle that hasn't even started yet. We still have a good chance to sway him.

Getting Christmas and Khairi Clark to go with Travonte Valentine would be an amazing feat.

Cane committed?

What he said he isn’t seriously considering doing — not yet, anyway — is dropping the Hurricanes.

Even though he has been seen wearing FSU T-shirts around school and said he enjoyed his trip to Wisconsin, Collins said he remains committed to coach Al Golden and will wait to see how hard the school gets hit when NCAA sanctions are finally levied in the coming months.

“I don’t know how hard the NCAA will hit Miami or if it will be a soft touch,” Collins said. “But when I think about it, I really don’t want to be affected by something that happened before. I feel people that didn’t have anything to do with that situation should not pay the price for people who did. That’s why I’m waiting to see what happens before I make any final decisions.”

http://www.foxsportsnext.com/college/wisconsin-badgers/stories/collins-now-a-five-star-talent.20121004.html

"Collins is no longer unknown but he’ certainly wanted. Despite committing to Miami in January he’s still listening to other coaches from other programs. He was always up front with the ‘Canes staff from the very beginning.

“When he committed to them he told other coaches to still recruit him,” Gatewood said. “He had only played the one season and didn’t know what was out there. He visited Miami and basically committed on the spot. But he still wanted to be recruited.”

Collins says he loves the Hurricanes but he just wants a chance to see what the college football world is like outside of Broward County.

“That Miami visit was my first ever to see a school,” Collins said. “It was wonderful and I love Miami. I love those coaches and players. But at the same time I have never really been out of Broward. I also want to know what else is out there.”

This weekend Collins will be in for a big change. He’s headed to Madison for an official visit to Wisconsin. The following weekend he’s headed to Tallahassee to make an official visit to Florida State.

“Those are the two visits I have set up so far,” Collins said. “I have been to Miami a bunch but I may make my official visit when they play FSU in a few weeks. I haven’t decided yet. I have been talking with Florida a lot lately. I talk with coach [Brian] White. UCF and South Florida are also showing me a lot of interest. It’s pretty much those schools.

“Right now I am just taking things day by day.”

After reading quotes from Marquez North's dad, I think he's going to Tennessee. To his dad, it's early playing time on a team with very little WR's BEFORE academics. His dad also wasn't pleased that the ball was only passed 16 times vs. LSU. He's looking for a place to showcase his son. I don't blame him, it's his son.

Demarcus Robinson or bust, I suppose. Read that Dabo asked him not to take any more visits. If he shows up it could be a situation where he is ready to jump ship.

Yeah, I live down here also and Miami fans are getting a little concerned that Collins isn't a lock...

UM was the 1st school he visited and he committed on the spot but has gone public with concerns about the pending probation.

I also highlighted his comment that "I have been talking with Florida a lot lately."

That doesn't mean we're in trouble with Taylor or Lane but I can see us using 2 freshmen along with Matt Jones & Chris Johnson and having Freshman #3 redshirting.

I'd be pretty happy if Muschamp was able to flip him. He seems like a good kid - a little cocky from what I've seen on the lax field - but what top recruit isn't? Oh, and a somewhat unrelated side note - his nickname is Buddha. I've actually never heard anyone call him by his real name.
