For the past couple of days on my Android phone and tablet I have been receiving a ton of Push notifications to old threads that have no new posts. I have tried shutting off Push and continue to get the notifications. I have tried removing and reinstalling the app. Any idea what is going on? Anyone else having this issue?

I logged out, and it stopped. Logged in after a few days and problem was solved.

Thanks Av I will try that. It's really annoying when all these old threads keep notifying you.

Well logging out hasn't worked for me. Even after being logged out I am still getting messages from old threads. Stuff im not even subscribed to any more.

Still getting them so I just deleted the app. Does anyone from GC check these threads?

I'm having the same issue. Tried logging out, and even tried deleting and reinstalling the app. No luck. I have notifications turned off completely, but every hour or so im getting up to a dozen alerts to threads I've unsubscribed from. This is getting highly annoying. I love the GC app, but I will have to delete it if this continues.

Not sure what changed for me but I am not getting them anymore. I deleted for a few days and then reinstalled with the intention of just deleting it again if they started but so far so good.
Again no idea what changed for me, just that it thankfully stopped.

I tried removing it and re-installing. Had to give up. My iPhone kept going off like it was a pinball machine.

Try this, it worked for me so far. Go to settings, notifications and scroll down to gatorcountry. Turn everything off. Notification center off, alert style none and lock screen off. Good luck!

I ended up doing this, as well. While it masks the fact that there is an issue, it gets the job done. Just less functionality than I'm used to - I actually liked seeing when threads I was involved in we're updated...

I had the same problem and I followed Gator8239's suggestions and turned off push notifications!
I sent this to Ray, maybe we'll here something soon.

I turned them off and restarted and am still getting them. Ray said he is going to get with the app developer.

Any updates yet? I'm uninstalling the app - tired of it waking me up in the middle of the night with a rapid fire of incoming messages.
Sent from my iPad using GatorCountry

Sorry I missed this thread - I posted an answer in a different forum.
I'm aware of this problem since it happens to me as well and I've alerted the app developer to find out what we can do to fix this so I'm waiting to hear back from them and will let you know as soon as I do.
Apologies and thanks!
