Just ordered gator season bball tix. When do they send them out usually? It's my first season in Gainesville and am excited about the season and future of the gator program.

Hopefully I get good seats. What is seating in the o dome like? I have never even been in there. Are the games pretty rowdy for big games? Is the student section pretty good/organized? Just wanted to get a feel of what is gonna be like. Thanks all! Go gators!!

I don't have my season tix in hand, but I do have the extra UK game tix that we ordered. They will be a gift to a local coach that is a great guy.

Added in edit: Even the very worst seat in the O'Dome is a good seat to watch the game.

Lurker is right, there's not a bad seat in the house. Did you request a certain section? Hope you're on the north side so you're facing the students.

They mailed the tix out really late last year. I think I got them a week or so before the first game.

I bought the season tickets in the 500 per seat donation level, total price of donation is 815 per ticket. I got 2 seats. if you look on the purchase options it is the section that is yellow. It didn't say what the exact seats are or location per se. I think it will be pretty good from what it looks like. i am very excited, i love basketball and they are gonna be pretty good this year, better in the years to come even. can you get the same seats year to year or improve your seats? how does it all work?

You are guaranteed first right of refusal each year for your seats. If you want to move, you can request a different row or section. If you need to be specific, it helps to call and tell a person exactly what you want. You can get it if someone in that area doesn't renew, and you have enough points (based on booster level and how long you've had tickets) to be in front of whoever else may want them.

 I wish! Everyone has their own criteria, of course, by no bad seats I mean no obstructed views. I wouldn't choose Level 1 even if I could get a seat there because bench seats are hard on my back. After years in Level 2 I've moved up to 3 because money got tight. I still see everything just fine, it's comfortable, and the students that end up there are just as enthusiastic as everywhere else in the Dome.

The opposing bench is usually a very bad seat.

Want to compare bball seating at the O'Dome to seating at a regional finals or Final Four?

I have 5 seats 4 rows off the floor at the O'Dome, but often we have friends in town and I'll score a nose-bleed seat for myself and give my guests the nice seats. It is still a good view of the game from Level 3 off in the corners or behind the basket.

On the other hand I have had Level 1 seats in Atlanta and they totally sucked. And I have had Level 3 tickets at midcourt and they sucked, but not so bad. Fortunately I had second level tickets for the Final Four in Atlanta and I could actually watch the games.

I am also an Illinois alumni. The Assembly Hall is a terrible place to watch a game. The venue is designed for rodeo and not basketball. Dreadful place.
