Good for me...now we don't have to play games with Tunsil anymore. 6-6 295? Oh, I'll def take that.

He might be considered the top OL recruit in the country if you consider transfers compared to a kid coming out of high school.

Big get below the radar.....we will have a monster O line in 2013

Somebody has to play guard. This is great for depth. I say sign as many as you can and play the 5 best.

Huge get! And 3 years of eligibility...sweeeeeet!

GOD is smiling on the Gators again when we need it the most after a disastrous last 3 years of underachieving players and coaches.

Oh yeah....welcome home Mr Moore. Our OL will be awesome in the trenches for the next several years with these beefy studs. who needs Tunsil???? Our RBs going to run between the tackles downhill, around the hills and through the hills to the Endzone. Redzone scoring(TDs) should improve tremendously with our heavy hitters. Go Gators....chomp chomp champ.

This is the class we needed. We are filling in positions of need with top talent. Being strong at the line of scrimmage is huge!!!

I'm sure Kelvin and Adam are particularly happy about this. :)

One quick question for anybody out there. I believe this is #4 for offensive line commitments. Are will still looking or is there another name besides Tunsil that we would take regardless?

Trenton Brown, currently a Uga commit, but is favoring us currently. At 6'8 350, he's a taker for sure...

This is now #3. We are likely to get one more, probably Trent Brown.

4 if u include Max Garcia... I've made that mistake too

Trying to recall why UF wasn't in it for him when he came out of high school. Clearwater Countryside has been a pretty good pipeline for the Gators. He was the #5 OT in the country that year. All we got was Trip Thurman and Tommy Jordan, no OTs at all.

He committed very early on.. Think he was committed by his junior season

It's weird to even count transfers, but both Moore and Garcia are major additions to the team, even though they won't be freshmen. Brown I assume will be a junior. Better to have players who can contribute right away, even if they won't be around for more than two or three years.

Couldnt agree with you more about Moore, and err Garcia. They could even start right away, if they are in shape coming into summer camp

Well, Laremy Tunsil basically told us he wasn't coming here and now the UF staff has shut that door. Thrilled to have Mr. Moore, but hate it that Tunsil won't be coming to UF. I'm sure the staff will psuedo-recruit him, and I'd love for a Lake City kid to come to UF. I think UF has nailed it with Garcia and Moore, just hate to lose Tunsil. I think as Laremy gets older he will regret not coming here too, just like Tyler found out. Hopefully now, the Tunsil/Henry posts will subside.

Moore's dad played at Nebraska. He was going there no matter what out of High School. Must have really been something serious to make him leave. Started as Freshman at Neb.

Might have been all those corn fields. My daughter freaked out about that traveling to visit Big 10 schools. I hear that Nebraska is especially bleak.

Better to have players who can contribute right away, even if they won't be around for more than two or three years.

Our OL roster is about to look great on paper if we go into 2013 with this:

Remaining eligibility 2013 season:

67 Jon Halapio OL 6' 3" 321 RSR
72 Jonothan Harrison OL 6' 4" 299 RSR
64 Kyle Koehne OL 6' 5" 311 RSR

75 Chaz Green OL 6' 5" 310 RJR
76 Max Garcia OL 6' 4" 307 RJR*
Trenton Brown(hopefully) JR
77 Ian Silberman OL 6' 5" 303 RJR

63 Trip Thurman OL 6' 6" 323 RSO
74 Jessamen Dunker OL 6' 4" 301 SO
70 D.J. Humphries OL 6' 6" 275 SO
65 Tommy Jordan OL 6' 4" 306 RSO
Tyler Moore OL RSO

Octavius Jackson OL FR
Cam Dillard FR

The additions of Garcia/Moore with TBrown should buy the staff seasons to recruit and develop. Already on roster for 2013 we could have 12 experienced OL(3 SRs, 5 JRs, 4 SOs); In 2014 current roster gives us 11(5 SRs, 4 JRs, Jackson/Dillard who will be SOs); 7 in 2015 exclusive of 2014/2015 recruits.

If the staff can pull off solid-great OL classes 2014/2015 we should stay experienced and deep.

* Noticed Max Garcia listed as a JR on our roster... Was under the impression he's sitting out this season which is why I listed him as RJR going into next season.

Would still love to have a Josh Outlaw/Roderick Johnson if we're not too full. 3 FR OL seems about right and makes four a great number next class(2014).

I could be wrong but i believe that Patchan was given an extra year or two and will still be eligible next season as well.

If this team can keep improving and upset LSU, there will be vastly improved interest from some top players currently sitting on the fence.

Agreed 1984Gator,
And if Tunsil does wise up and decide he wants to be a Gator, I don't see us saying no.
That said, if we sail without him then he's just more GatorBait.
I'd like to see this class with at least three true frosh players in the O-line class.
Keep adding 3-4 new ones per class.
That's how excellent depth is built.

I think relative to OTs this class it's not about wins/losses, or waiting to see. Tunsil just doesn't want to be here and he's about our only real OT prospect I see at this point.

I am wondering if we took our DT commits too soon or if staff found some future greats.

Caleb Brantley is a huge get and he is our only true DT at this point although Riles and Ivie may grow into tackles. For depth purposes, we need another true DT in this class as we are losing Hunter and possibly most likely Floyd (and also possibly Easley who played the position last year). That's huge for depth purposes IMO, as we only have Jacobs, Orr, Mann, and Quinteze at that position. That's not much of a rotation. Jacobs and Orr will not. E around after 2014, so we need to get depth at DT. Just look at the thread of most important defensive position. Overwhelming for Floyd, Elam, and McCray... If we don't have one dominant player, we may need to do it by committee over tr next few years

I haven't seen this posted, but does this mean he will attend UF in the spring and will attend spring practice? If so, that would be even better for him and the team.

On another note regarding Moore...
Check out the great things that he said about our whole coaching staff here at Florida.
He visited FSU as well... and our coaching staff blew the Nolies outta the water.
All of us need to take note as to how great a job our coaches are doing.

They are working their tails off... pulling us out of that slump that Florida got dumped into.

Out of curiosity, on some recruiting websites they have Tyler Moore counting as a recruit in this cycle, but they don't have Max Garcia... Tyler was also planning on being an early enrollee in the winter... So he should count towards last years cycle and shouldn't be included as a recruit for this years cycle, right??? Because Garcia isn't counting. Given Dante Phillips, Nelson Agholor, and stephon Diggs were supposed to be in last yrs class, we should have the open spots for the early enrollees, correct??
