Folks, I don't follow recruiting like you do but I'm REAL excited by our wins in TX and at TN (and now against LSU). Have to believe recruits have taken notice of what UF is doing. I know there are dozens of things more important to a recruit than any win and loss but the heart, style of play and ability to win on the road just have to impress. No?
Anyone know of a specific recruit that one or both of these wins might have influenced?

Same question regarding the USC loss to Stanford.

I dont see a major affect on recruiting or any one recruit. The only thing it helps is people not saying CWM is on the hot seat.

One thing that is for sure is that Florida got two HUGE wins! HUGE wins for the program and HUGE for CWM! After Bowling Green people were hoping to get at least one of the first two games and Florida got both. Now OCT 6th is a date with LSU after Florida beats a bad Kentucky team this weekend will get a bye. Florida will beat LSU this year!

Disagree. While I won't name any recruits, there are some out there this year and for next year that were waiting to see how we performed. The way this team has played so far has definitely helped our recruiting.

One things for sure, the more he wins, the less Muschamp's rivals can use against him in recruiting wars.
He won't be on the "hot seat",
He will have proven we are moving in right direction,
He will prove we can win,
And he will have great argument that with the right pieces we can be even better.
So I'd say these wins were all good for us, and not good for our rivals.
BTW here's to Clemson knocking the Criminoles from their ridiculous lofty perch they so undeservedly now enjoy!!!!

Mr. Walker said he wants to go to Alabama because he doesn't see them losing in the near future. He obviously cares about winning and I'm assuming he isn't alone.

Yeah but if Nchkeimdeigjde decides against Clemson and The Ole Mrs., he would be going to Bama... Do you think Walker will go to Bama then, or maybe even Saban will trade up...

Well all I'm saying is that some recruits, not all, put winning into their choice. There are several other factors that some find important, or not important.

Whats your point? Where did I say winning wasn't important?

Clemson allowed 71 points against the last good team [WV] they faced. What makes u think this is a win against the noles. We r their only roadblock to being undefeated. Crazy easy schedule.

Offensive recruits are no doubt taking notice that UF is no longer inept on offense and that Driskell is developing into a star. This should help us land a few more weapons.

Really? So if we lost the rest of our games, it would not have an affect on our commits or leans? I have to believe winning and how we are winning has more of an affect on the program besides the coaches future.

Well that wasn’t the question. If we lost the rest of our games CWM job would be in jeopardy. I dont think winning 9 games instead of 8 is really going to affect the guys we have left on the board for 2013 class. Look at our record last year and look at the class Florida is pulling in now before the season started.
Floridas commits are not going anywhere. We have lost one kid we wanted to keep this whole cycle. But hey the guy just asked a question and I gave my opinion.

Affect vs effect.
Gatordee used it wrong, GATORAZ used it right. Although GATORAZ used it completely wrong on another thread yesterday. What happened with our UF education? No English 101 and 102 anymore?

Just because they type on here doesn't mean they were educated here :)

And just because they mistyped that word doesn't mean they're not well educated.

People who don't think piling up wins helps recruiting are kidding themselves.
National exposure, having our name in the top ten lists every sportscenter broadcast, people discussing the Gators as contenders for the SEC east etc..., is all positive buzz.
This absolutley has an effect on potential recruits and their decisions.
Before and after this weekend's LSU game several recruits actually said it would weigh into their decision making process when the question was posed.
This is good and there's really no way to spin that it isn't.
I remember reading about many Meyer recruits coming directly from experiencing single-game huge wins in the Swamp.
After watching the Muschamp celebration video I don't see how anyone could resist getting overwhelmed by all the excitement and emotion. It's experiences like that which stay with you long after the visit has passed.

As of today, it appears as though potential recruits are officially noticing what Coach Muschamp is creating in G-ville! Go Gators!
