Not only does it pop up once, it opens in a second and third window as well.

These ads usually pop up based on recent searches by you or someone who has used your computer. I recently upgraded to an iPhone and changed cell servers so I get nothing but Sprint ads. Cookies man, it's the wave of the future....

They're good i know, I usually get ads for fishing and golf equipment...but this stuff is from this site, I even cleared all cookies and browsing data. I'll have to try that ad block

I'm sure someone's gonna chime in about how this site needs the ads to generate revenue...

This site charges a membership fee for premium access, that's how it generates revenue.

It's free. Run it after you close out every browsing session.

I use ccleaner on my PCs and have it set to run at start up. You shoukd go into setting to identify cookies you want to keep. That plus Microsoft Security Essentials (also free) have been more effective with less CPU drag than any antivirus and anti-spyware I've ever tried including Norton, Macafee and AVG.

I also went to 100% web based email and haven't had a virus problem since. Yahoo, gmail, etc all screen every attachment and email. That's the #1 source if trouble - #2 are the gaming sites my kids try. But no trouble since starting ccleaner.

if I ever were to get worried about a Trojan or other spyware is run Malwarebytes.

I've been using the GC iPhone app a lot lately and don't see any of those ads or have any other trouble.
