Overall I'm not pumped, but we are winning. We can only get better. And I still love the orange ad blue.

I know this is a message board an everyone can say whatever they want and be as critical as you want. But this is such a negative board. We all want 35-3 at half. But we do t have that. Stop whining and find something good I build on. Hell Gilislee is looking great. His vision is much enter than I expected. Hope he stays healthy. I'd like to see some down field passes. Sorry but neither qb showed much as a passer - they both looked about like they did last year - overthrows, missed open receivers. Worse yet, it didn'nt look like the coaches had a lot of confidence in either of them.

I know of about five families who have dropped their season tickets in the past two seasons who have dropped their season tickets because of the rising costs and the economy. Winning can help that, sure, but there's more to this than just our struggling team.

Our offense really hasn't disappointed me, except for the penalties. It's the defense that concerns me now... we need them to dominate, and they have just barely been average. Our offense hasn't had enough chances because the defense can't get off the field, and when the offense does have the ball, they get a penalty which puts them in a hole.

We're running the ball fine and were passing the ball fine. We just need less penalties and better defense.

1. People aren't going to travel to see a mediocre team. The most hardcore fans will still make it (I will be hopping on a plane 3 times this year for it). But the marginal fans aren't going to bother. Every program needs their marginal fans.

2. Don't know. Very disappointed after consistently praising the secondary last year.

I only saw 2 'bubble screens'. I'm pretty sure I saw more passes to the middle of the field than bubbles.

I believe now its three. But the other passes were short outs near the sidelines. One to reed was in the middle. At least from what I remember. Driskel was 4 of 5 in the first half.
