No, DJ is not the initials of a player that you should know the name of. It's the guy playing the music. Ha ha...

Too bad I wasn't there. I'd have yelled "KILL THE UMPIRE" so loud I'd have been ejected next.

ch.2 talked with the unpaid intern who will probably get fined.

See, I think that kind of stuff is funny as heck (playing of 3-blind mice). The umps are not the main feature of the game, the good umps would get a kick out of stuff like that because they know that they're going to make calls that the crowd will disagree with.

Some of these umps are insufferable. Many basketball refs are right there with them. This is one job sector I'm for expediting their permanent replacement with machines. They make themselves part of the game way too much. Funny how football refs can manage to go decades without ejecting a coach or PA announcer despite the same type of "taunting." What a bunch of wussified crybabies.

My 1st thought was of the late Harry Wendelstedt and thinking they don't make umps like they used to. I'll bet that ump didn't train around here.

Dye was fined $25.

LOL fans went to tonight's game in costume as blind mice.

Cubs fan "Front Row Joe" Rowe had seen a lot of things in his streak of 1,190 home games at the Jack since 1995, but Wednesday night's controversy was unique.
"The umpire was not really justified in the way he handled the situation," Rowe said. "Sure, it's a rule, and he has the right to do that -- but not with some of the calls the two of them were making.

++++++ right there WES, I still wonder what the actual ego pill is that they take 'cause to the best of my knowledge nobody came to the ballpark to see the umps play...........
