Western (Fla.) 2014 QB Wade Freebeck impressed Florida coaches at their summer camp in June and again at Friday Night Lights. Monday, he landed an offer from the Gators.

I think you guys misunderstand whats going on here. This thread was started in July. He just updated that Freebeck has transferred to STA which is a big time program. Not that we have just offered another 2014 QB.

Time will tell, of course. You never know what's going to happen with a QB in the future. So I think it's not a bad a idea to recruit at least one good QB each NSD. But of course, I'm not the coach.

Freebeck had an offer but was not going to be able to commit until the staff found out what Grier's decision was. Even though Freebeck wont be able to commit to the Gator is is still interesting to see how his recruitment pans out.

At this time the staff does not plan on taking two QB's and most big time QB prospects dont like to be in a class with another one.

Because the staff didnt feel like he was the number 1 QB in the country. The staff had a lot of big time sophomores come in and throw for them this summer only two of them got offers.

I am not sure Greir is the best QB in the class yet its still early. Strange mentioned the number 1 QB came to camp and left without an offer. This summer Tyler Harris & D.J. Gillins were rated above Grier at the time of Stange's comment.
