This has to be one of the most disfunctional web sites I've ever used in my life. It is extremely unresponsive on many an occasion (i.e. very slow in moving from page to page). Is the webmaster from FSU? Pathetic.

Check your browser and computer. I find GatorCountry to be one of the more smoothly functioning message boards that I frequent.

Try turning off your security scanning of your hard drive.

I'm sorry, Jersey.....there are times where many posters have the problems you're experiencing. I don't know why it happens.
There are folks here who know about computers and such that can give you a hand.

It is the ads that try to pop up between posts as you scroll down, if you turn off your pop up browser or switch to google chrome it works better

GC moves right along for me. It's almost never slow.
Running Chrome with AdBlocker on both a Mac and PC.

Turn off Flash. That's where the problem is.

I don't have a problem with it. Maybe it's a Jersey thing.

GC moves fine for me. However, the iPhone app stopped working - hangs on the login. I may delete it and download again.

Might have something to do with the leap second that was added that has been causing problems.

I use Firefox with Adblock and for the most part things are fairly smooth. There are times when it slows down but the amount of traffic could be the issue then. Also I have been experiencing some problems with my PC. About time for a new one.

This topic should really be in another forum but I don't see any reason to move it unless one of the administrators do.

GC used to be the slowest forum out there (of the ESPN college forums) but now it seems to be fixed.

I've several times run YSlow / Firebug on this site with and without ads.
It's been said a hundred bazillion times but when you have Adblock installed your problems are solved (not just on this site, but others). Most of the other items respond in pretty good time ranges.
At one point I found the DNS server had a very short TTL that was causing a lot of problems but I believe they fixed that. I think beyond that there isn't much else (maybe compiling all avatars into a single image, removing that TYNT garbage and maybe compressing JS and CSS).

I love it when he talks dirty and uses all those TLAs. :nervous smile:
