Has anyone had good results from Turkish Get Ups?

I don't know that I've obtained any noticeable results from them apart from being able to execute them with respectable form. I rarely do them anymore. Sometimes I incorporate naked getups into my warmup routine.
For me, and this is just my opinion, they fall into the category of 'strength skills', very much like pistol squats and one-armed pushups, which I can also do, but which do not function as 'go-to' exercises. They are not terribly practical for me.

I guess it would depend on what results you are looking for and why.
I think the TGU is a pretty cool movement and I am impressed when people can do them with decent amounts of weight. However, I don't know that they translate to other things or would serve certain goals better than other exercises.
