Can you unlock an Iphone 4S?

I bought an Iphone 4S to replace my broken Iphone(It's used) and the listing(on Amazon) said AT&T and it's a Verizon phone.


Before i go through all the trouble of sending it back, is it possible to unlock it so i can use it on AT&T network?

You can't use a Verizon iphone on AT&T's network.
