What in the heck are these NASCAR sidebars?

Now I have to silence my computer whenever I come to the site. I've never complained about ads here (maybe because Firefox blocks any pop-ups), but good Lord, these things are annoying.

I've been complaining about the sound/ video ads for months but they must bring in a bunch of money because no matter how many people mention them they still appear.

It feels like some random NASCAR driver is zooming around on my computer. And considering I hate NASCAR, it makes it even worse.

They're looking into it but slow on weekends, sigh.

Firefox with adblock is your friend. No ads unless you want them.

I have this. I have never had any problem with ads. That is why this is so peculiar.

And like I mentioned, it is not a pop-up. I don't get pop-ups.
