well I ended up doing a system restore and half the pictures stopped loading and a few websites didn't load correctly. It isn't doing it's redirect anymore but firefox is toast, I went to google chrome.

Have you tried uninstalling Firefox and doing a reinstall? I would run something like Malwarebytes along with an online scan such as Eset just to be on the safe side. Also what are you using for an antivirus?

You may have a remnant proxy server setting in Firefox.

In firefox, go to

Options->Advanced->Network->Settings (under connection)

Is there anything under your various proxy fields?
