So T-Mobile offers a corporate plan with a huge discount. We take the deal, and low and behold, second month in and it's total bait and switch. My wife and I were both on the phone to (lack of) customer service. Different phone calls, different reps, and completely different stories all at the same time.
What is it with cell phone providers? I'd love to see some snips from their training manuals, it probably has as much BS as Countrywide's training manual.
Is there any cell phone company that isn't crooked? We were promised one rate and billed another. We have detailed notes with who we have spoken to and the phone monkeys could not care less. I'ts a wonder they are still in business, except that they are ripping off millions of "customers". How many naive and/or elderly have they taken advantage of over the years? :fuming:

I don't think there's any virtuous phone company, nor will there ever be.
I just left T-Mobile due to continually getting crappy Android phones replaced by even more crappy Android phones. Plus, I'm outdoors a lot and go to remote places frequently. Good luck getting any service in those areas with T-mobile.
So I bought an iPhone off Ebay and joined Verizon. All is good with one exception....I can't text my gf who lives in Austria after being promised I could text or call to anyone in Europe. Austria just happens to be the one country where there's a "technological conflict" that prohibits it.
They're all swindlers when it comes down to it.

Verizon is outstanding in every respect IMO. Especially, crystal clear recepetion and transmission...

If you both have smartphones, you can use WhatsApp for texting and skype for calling and it will be pretty seamless.

HELP!!!!
My wife was locked out of her car, and thanks to those incompetent boobs and liars a T-Mobile, her phone was blocked and she had to break into her car and go to another provider just to get a phone to call me and let me know what happened. You can imagine the a** chewing I received (and did not deserve) because T-Moble is a lying incompetent loser company that baits and switches and does not provide a shred of customer service. My wife is lucky she wasn't harmed, and I am p**d beyond belief. Now I get to deal with this tonight and tomorrow, and those (expletive deleted here)s want more money.
Has anyone had any similar experiences with these or other similarly incomptetent and dishonest (lack of ) service providers, and what are your suggestions as how to deal with it?
Sorry for the rant, but when my wife is potentially in danger, and I'm powerless to help, and get my arse chewed on top of it, I'm a little hot.
It's "In all kinds of weather" time my fellow Gators.

First, I'm totally sorry for your wife and her car.
We had a T-Mobile corporate account until midway through this year and never had a single problem with them. We were with them for several years until a Verizon rep approached us in February with a better deal. T-Mobile wouldn't match but they did come down quite a bit.
I still have T-Mobile for a personal phone and have never had an issue there, either.
If you experienced a true bait-and-switch, I would make sure the contract reflects that. If it does, you should most definitely look at a lawsuit for the time and cost of restarting your process as well as any downtime. The critical part is that there's something that happened outside of that contract.
As for similar situations, we had a hosting provider who quoted us a price based on capacity and traffic. We never exceeded those numbers, but they quickly realized they had poorly estimated and came back for money. Essentially they'd break even or lose money with us as a customer and all we could say was "tough nuts." Even though they acquiesced, we knew this meant trouble and immediately started looking for another provider.
The following billing cycle, lo and behold, there's the new charge - although they tried to bury it under miscellaneous. I did not make the call, but our CFO and our attorney were on the phone with theirs for no more than maybe 2 minutes before we had the entire cycle comped. Their billing did not reflect the contract - this was pretty simple to prove.
And while I do feel a lot of sympathy for your situation, I don't think it's fair to pin the locked car situation on T-Mobile. Their actions certainly made that situation less pleasant, but the key to "winning" these types of battles is to be cool-headed and logical about your grievances.

Too bad the Gov't wouldn't let AT&T buy them.
I used to be w\ Sprint after leaving AT&T but there were too many "dead" spots in my area so I switched back to AT&T & got a IPhone.
Haven't regretted my decision at all.

AT&T has long been one of the worst, though.

I used to be a Verizon man but AT and T has really improved and is right behind Verizon in coverage and data speed.

I have AT&T and have never had any problems. As for T-Mobile, still not clear what the issue is. Can you provide specifics on what you signed up for versus what you are getting?
