Here is the thing thought there I doubt we will even think about taking his twin brother MacKenro Alexander even though he is a good player. So if he decides he wants to play with his brother we are in trouble.

Shocking development, I tell you.
Think UF is in pretty good shape here right now ... but I agree, if he decides playing alongside his brother is a top priority, he's probably heading elsewhere.

He's visiting FSU this (?) weekend I believe. It's hard to imagine any top-caliber BCS school is going to offer his brother, so I'd imagine he'll be a Cane. Would love to have him though.

His brother is extremely underrated. I know we are not offering but if you just had to take the better defensive HS player it'd be his bro over him-seen them play and "ro" is in on every tackle. Granted he has more opportunity based on his position, but those that say he is not a division one player are nuts. He may not be Florida's caliber but he coudl play for Miami, USF, or UCF right now.

Tshambi, and Xavier are headed to USF, and from what Im hearing here in town, it sounds like there might be the whole group headed there. I also heard from one of the coaches that Deadrin is not going to end up at the Noles if and when a certain offer comes in from a SEC school, if it hasn't happened already.

Isn't Florida Mackensie's new leader after his visit?

That is correct. Keep a close eye on Clemson and Miami too.

Any news on him? Could we still go for another corner?

We might get Ramsey, and he is bigger, the kind Champ likes, so I doubt we go after him, unless Ramsey gives us the cold shoulder.

Excited that we are back in it for Alexander, I too assumed Ramsey was our top priority. I know both players are plus-one types, but whoever publicly commits first is probably going to run the other off. Maybe we're going to push both for a commitment and take the first one to pull the trigger.
IMHO, over-signing at this position is bad karma. Was just looking at our 2010 DB class, which was probably our best ever. Four are now playing for other schools.

Mack is all over his place with his recruitment I think the coaches have backed off him. Ramsey will visit again for LSU weekend. I think Shaq Wiggins will visit for the second time for LSU weekend.

Don't think we are. All the substance on this thread is from early spring..

It's starting to look like the grades may determine where he goes, just like Mackenro. I've found that the U makes the exception for the Immokalee kids. there for the reason why they go there more times than not.

I have a feeling that someone who's desparate will offer his brother to get him. That won't be UF and Ramsey is a much better fit for us anyway and is looking more and more likely to switch to us.

It's already happened, and his brother's grades have already caused them to back off. I think it was FSU who offered Macknero and then backed off when they saw he was probably a non-qual.

Yep, Mackenro was committed to the noles, and they pulled his offer, because of the grades, and after the naples game a few weeks ago, there was an altercation with our team and our own fans, in which mackenzie and mackenro were right in the middle of it. So there are some hurdles to jump with these guys. Which is sad, because they are both great players.
