Anyone familiar with the concept ? Went to a meeting tonight. I'm the 'Keep It Simple' guy who tells people to just shut-up and eat their food. Still, the concept isn't whacky. It's based on the supposition that 7-13 servings of fruits and veggies their telling us get every day is a tall order. So, why not just put the nutrients in capsule, along with some of the fiber, but very few of the calories.

I was expecting to meet a lot of nutty juicers.

I've used the powdered stuff in the past. Superfood. Greenfood. Supergreen. I can't remember what it's called, but the same concept: a days worth of fruits and veggies in a big scoop of powder. I mixed it in my V8 everymorning for a year or more a while back.

I definitely felt good during that time, but that is far from a controlled experiment - I was treating my body well in many ways during that period.

We've recently been given the powder to our picky-eating daughter. She thinks it "chocolate milk". hehe. You should see what she calls a "cookie". We're so mean.....

I sympathize. Two ways to get your kids to eat right:

(1) by hook

(2) by crook

GREAT IDEA about getting this stuff for kids!

I also have a picky 4 year old.

We definiately subscribe to the "by crook" method.

Not to derail the thread.

My family and I have been taking these little pills for about 4 years. I am no salesman and never try to sell anybody on things to put in your body, but I can tell you the following:

My son used to get 2-3 upper respiratory infections every year......now none.

You know how you get a cold and it seems to last for weeks......now 2 days.

My PSA score was rising slightly every year.....not anything near being concerned about....now it goes down.

There is definitely something to this fruits and vegetables thing.....I just can't eat 3 servings of asparagus every day.
