Yeah, this id costing the state a bit, isn't it, and those who failed were way under national levels, and rumors are rick Scott has some sort of possibly past associations with the lab, and its way too late for me to look that last part up.but it is costing the state.

Lighten' up bill. Were we supposed to think that was a real visit to the Clinton Library. I will grant that in my post that really was a state senator and Governor Scott declining to pee in a cup.

Anyone actually look up whether government employees are required to submit to a drug test? I bet they are. All folks who work with a clearance are required to and I'd say a fair percentage of other jobs also require it. I'm personally required to submit to random drug testing, and I bet a fair percentage of you are as well (we already know the NFL and our football players at UF are ;P). My exwife got denied workers comp for failing a drug test for weed after getting hurt at work (completely non-drug related) and lost her job. I see no reason why people receiving welfare are any different, just piss in the cup like everyone else my friend and stop being an @$$hole.

In FL, I think only ones in public safety fields are required to be tested under law. So some, not all. Its not like Rick Scott, Bernie Machen or Will Muschamp will be peeing in a cup anytime soon.

Plenty of employers require it, whether or not the job involves public safety. At the large company I used to work for in Tampa (thousands of employees) everyone had to submit to pre-employment drug screening.

We're talking about state employees, not private employers.

Still pertinent...both private and state employers pay the bill for the testing and the benefits.

Huh? I was just responding to a post that asked if gov't employees had to submit to drug tests.

John Stewart is a mouth piece for the liberal left - He is not funny and never has been.
Why doesn't he use his real name, is afraid that people will find out he is jewish (and insult to Jews).

I get random BLOOD drug tested at least once per year......I don't see any issue if there is an indication---and if cost justifies it.
I would need data to support doing it state wide.
