GC Slow Loading

Anybody else notice GC slow loading .... mostly the forums? Getting into the forums and moving around, I look at a white page for 30+ seconds. (May be longer ... I give up
most of the time and exit the site).

Other sites seem fine and I have a brand new computer with 4 Gig of memory and Windows Task Manager shows no unusual activity.

mine is hanging and the info bar at the bottom of the browser is saying waiting tag.contextweb.com for nearly a minute.

There is a definate problem, I'm a charter subscriber and don't recall this happening.

Just took me 3mins 15secs to go from page 1 to page 2 on this thread. Someone needs to find the problem or hire someone to find it. This is ridiculous!!!!

I'm using Adblock plus on Firefox and its working fine, are any of you guys running it?

It could be an advertisement on the site that is slowing it down. This happened to me awhile back until i put on Adblock plus.

Not really. A bit faster, yes.

For those that nhave IE, right click you "back" arrow nto see history. I always have a couple of "404 not found" entries when I'm on GC. FWIW

They're working on fixing it and it should be resolved soon I'm hoping. It's the stats tracking company. Am keeping an eye on this. Thanks for your patience.

I gave up earlier it was so freaking brutal. Definitely something going on, I figured it was my computer. But every other site loaded quickly. Too many complaints to be a coincidence...sick the tech guy on the situation. I figured if it was like this now on signing day there will be a melt down of biblical proportions... well, perhaps a smidgen less than that... :)

This is interesting. As I noted before, I had "404 not found" entries in my history.
Those are gone, now replaced by "media contextweb,com" entries. :ghost2:

Since this is still affecting some folks, I've pulled the offending code until it's fixed although it's slowly getting there. Just not quick enough for me.

In fact, it is faster now than it has been in a long time. Its been kind of sluggish for me
for (it seems like) 2 or 3 weeks. Then yesterday, it completely choked up.

Lately, half the time I get on GC. I just move on to another site. Has been terribly slow for quite some time. No problem anywhere else.

I have been having horrible problems for the past few days..pages won't load. Only on GC.
I get a prompt repeatedly that says, "A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly"... I click yes to stop the script from running, but it keeps coming up and the pages won't load. It took me almost 20 minutes to get to this page to submit this.

Because office computers don't always allow downloading of new browsers. ;)
