I look at our OL concerns over the last two years of UM's tenure, and we have three of five interior linemen starting in the NFL. Two starting as rookies, the Pounceys and Gilbert are playing. Nixon and the Halopino (sp) are still around.
Maybe we should have been better.

At the very least we should have been able to teach Pouncey how to hike the dang ball.

The worst thing Meyer did during his UF tenure was not the retire/unretire/mail-it-in/retire again business. It was not getting a real OC when Mullen left for MSU. Bringing in Scot Loeffler to coach Tebow and making Addazio be the OC and OL coach was an absolutely atrocious decision. It was not on Addazio; he did what he could do, and our recruiting and coaching the OL suffered for it (and still paying dividends). The talent is/was there, just very thin.

A physcially under-developed OL and the lack of a big, physical power RB was the biggest problems we had this year, including the injury to Brantley. If Brantley didn't get injured, we beat UGA and AU (at least), and end up with 9 wins this season and no one is complaining much.
I expect the OL to be much more strong and physical next season with Jeff Dillman conditioning them.

It's amazing what a full time OL Coach will accomplish.
Urban's first 4 years were great his last 2 were equal to the last years of Doug Dickey.

No doubt.
Hevesy did a tremendous job with our OL when he was here.

Maurice Hurt (a 7th round pick last year) started the last few games for the Redskins (due to injury). He was on the practice roster most of the season...

His last two? Unless there was a second resignation and return in there that I missed (which is possible, with Urban it was hard to know if he was getting ready to resign, had already resigned, or was returning from a resignation) that would include the 2009 13-1 season.

I'll give you the last season in 2010, but not the last 2. We were super close to repeating as champs in 2009.

I'm pretty sure we only lost 2 games over a two year period and had won 2 BCS games and a National Championship with those lineman. How much better do you expect a team to be? Our offensive lineman were learning an entirely new system, new terminology, new blocking schemes, ...... We will be much improved next year with blocking scheme, provided we don't have more turnover of OL coach.
