Loved the first two, not sure how I will like this one given it is such a departure from the first two. I guess we will just have to wait and see how it plays and how good the story is.

True. The first two were awesome games. I only played through half of the second, but it was a great game so far, I should probably buy it to finish it since it's only like $10.

But I have faith in Rockstar, they're one of the few excellent game companies and always release great games. If it were another company I may be worried, but I think if anyone besides Remedy can pull it off, it is Rockstar.

Well, that puts me in a different boat because while I respect Rockstar and know that their games are very popular I don't think I have ever finished one. The GTAs and Red Dead just got so damn repetitive to me that I got bored before I ever finished the game. Granted they aren't the only company with this problem but they were the first that it happened to me on game after game.

See I'm an open world games person, I love huge games where you can roam around an entire city/environment like GTA, Red Dead, Fallout, etc. I thought Red Dead was amazing, but to each their own. I did think GTA4 was kind of lame after a certain point, just because in San Andreas there was SO MUCH STUFF TO DO. But then GTA4 came and they took away so much of the freedom you had in SA.

This missions, though fun, are usually repetitive though, maybe that's what you're talking about? Go here, kill this guy, come back, go here, kill this guy, go here, steal this guy's car and kill him.

Exactly, its the missions not the open world aspect. Every mission started to feel like some slightly different or longer version of an earlier mission. Got boring to me.

I love Fallout and in fact the last two were both actually too short in my opinion and I also spent hundreds of hours playing the last Elder Scrolls.

Red dead was too much for me to try and play. The slow ass horse killed me. I need to steal a sports car or sport bike and speed to my destination.

San Andreas was my favorite game. GTA4 was a big step back. IMO.

I don't like the open world games. I find them lacking in story. Dead Space and Mass Effect are my favorite games. Ready for their 3rd versions.

GTA4 is one of the best games I've ever played. Repetitive my a$$. The replay value is through the roof in that game. I sometimes wonder about some of you guys around here. The game released in freaking April of '08, and people still play online! (including me) red dead is another awesome game. Rockstar is just flat sick, IMO. As for max Payne, I LOVED one, not so much on two.

How about resisitance 3? Anybody get that? I just bought it. Loved one and two and can't wait to open up 3.

Dead space is also one of my absolute favorite games. Platinum for both. Online sucked for 2, though. Great, great game. I thought nothing would ever top resident evil, not anymore. This is the new gold standard in survival horror, IMO. In a lot of peoples opinions actually.

GTA4 was really fun, don't get me wrong, but the missions are usually the same thing though. The game itself was great. Fallout is amazing, Elder Scrolls is amazing, I prefer Morrowind to Oblivion, and you're dead on with Dead Space. THe first one was great but the second one, oh my God, Dead Space 2 was SICK.

Rockstar, though, is the best game developer in my opinion. They are consistent and they make great games, second to them I'd put Bethesda or Valve.

I gotta put Bioware up over Rockstar. KOTOR, Jade Empire, Mass Effect 1 & 2, and Dragon Age are hard to top. All are RPGs, but all of them offer a very unique play experience and the story usually tops anything else out there. Of course, I've generally not been a huge fan of Rockstar's games and found them fairly repetitive, with the GTA series not really adding anything substantive in its sequels.

Just finished up resistance 3. Solid, fun game. Have yet to play multiplayer and co- op though. Campaign is pretty entertaining. I'd probably give the game an 8.6. I just wish they wouldn't have taken away the 8 man co op online. That was a lot fun.

Lol. Seriously? Sigh.... To each their own, I guess. Saints row is a poor man's GTA. Even when you compare the new 'third', to the '08 GTA 4.... It still doesn't compare. (of course I haven't actually played the new saint's row) lol so I guess that's not fair to say. I just think GTA is one of the best games ever made. But like I said, to each their own.

I like Saints Row the third customizing abilities which gives it a slight edge.

That and co-op.
