Not Your Usual July and 2011
This year July will have 5 Fridays and 5 Saturdays and 5 Sundays. This happens just once every 823 years.
2011 will have 4 unusual dates:
1/1/11 and 1/11/11 and 11/1/11 and 11/11/11.
And now get this, take the last 2 digits of the year in which You were born, then add the age you will be this year. The results will be 111 for not just everyone in The Pub but for everyone in the whole world!

Strange
There was a lawyer who died whose name was Strange. His friend asked the tombstone maker to make this inscription on the tombstone:
"Here lies Strange, an Honest Man, and a Lawyer."
The tombstone marker insisted such an inscription would be confusing to people passing by the marker, they would think 3 different people were buried under the same stone. But he had a better suggestion for the inscription:
"Here lies a man who was both honest and a lawyer".
That way when anyone walked by the tombstone and read the inscription they would certainly remark, "That's Strange!"

The Blonde Goes To Las Vegas!
Two bored casino dealers are waiting at a craps table. A very attractive, beautiful blonde young lady comes in and wants to bet $20,000 on a single roll of the dice. She tells the dealers, "I hope you guys don't mind but I feel much luckier when I'm completely nude." And with that she strips completely naked from head to toe and begins to roll the dice. And she starts hollering, "Mama needs new clothes!" Then she yells:
"I WON! YES! YES! I WON! I WON!"
Then she begins jumping up and down and hugging the dealers! With that she quickly scoops up all the money and takes off!
The dealers are staring at each other and are just dumfounded. Finally one of them asks the other one, "What did she roll anyway?" The other dealer then said,"I don't know, I thought you were watching!"
Moral of the story: Not all Blondes are dumb!

Sleeping In The barn
A Hindu Priest, a Jewish Rabbi and a Lawyer were all traveling together and came upon an Inn with only 2 rooms available. The Innkeeper said that one of them must volunteer to sleep in the barn. The Hindu Priest volunteered but 2 minutes later there was a knock at the door. The Hindu Priest said, "I can not sleep in the barn because there is a cow there." The Rabbi then volunteered to sleep in the barn. Two minutes later there was another knock at the door. The Rabbi returned saying, "I can not sleep in the barn because there is a pig in there." The lawyer then volunteered to sleep in the barn. Two minutes later there was a knock at the door. It was the cow and the pig.

I'm in OIA, waiting to fly to Akron. They ask for volunteers to a later flight, offering a free round trip ticket. I'm discussing it with the little woman, they start boarding and announce 2 free round trip tickets per passenger, we jumped up! Took a 4 hour delay basically. Had tasty wings at Outback in the terminal watching Abby Gator kick the winning goal. BOOM !!

An atheist was seated next to a little girl on an airplane and he turned to her and said, "Do you want to talk? Flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with a fellow passenger."
The little girl, who had just started to read her book, replied to the total stranger, "What would you want to talk about?"
"Oh, I don't know," said the atheist. "How about why there is no God?" as he smiled smugly.
"Ok," she said. "Those could be interesting topics but let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff - grass. Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, but a horse produces clumps. Why do you suppose that is?"
The atheist, visibly surprised by the little girl's intelligence, thinks about it and says, "Hmmm, I have no idea."
To which the little girl replies, "Do you really feel qualified to discuss why there is no God when you don't know crap?"
And then she went back to reading her book.

New iPad's A Feast For the Eyes
"No Game Changer, But Stunning Screen, Fast Wireless A Treat"
"We've see this movie before: a frenzied buildup punctuated by constant speculation. And then Apple actually announces the object behind all the fuss - in this particular sequel the latest iPad which goes on sale Friday."
"The the mood shifts. People bummed out by the features that Apple did not put into its freshly baked tablet computer weigh in. No extra storage or expansion options, no smaller screen model to compete against the likes of Amazon's Kindle Fire. Still no Adobe Flash, and no camera flash, either. Not even Siri, the chatty personal assistant, who, depending on where you are coming from, either charms owners of the iPhone 4S or bugs them."
"No big deal."
"Apple may have left a few things out. But Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster estimates Apple will sell 60 million iPads this year. And that's on top of the 55 million collectively Apple has sold since the original iPad was introduced in 2010."
Bigger:
At 0.37 inches and 1.4 pounds, it's slightly thicker and heavier than iPad2.
The Bottom Line
$499.00 on up!

Why Wear Green On St. Partrick's Day?
"No matter your heritage, everyone is Irish on St. Patrick's Day. And that means you should wear Green. But why?"
Here are 4 reasons why Green is equated with St, Patrick's Day:
1. Green is one of the 3 colors in the Irish flag.
2. With its lush, Green landscape, Ireland is known as the "Emerald Isle".
3. Green is the color of Spring.
4. Green is the color of the shamrock.

Saturday night I was getting a little bored with all the TV coverage of the 2012 NFL Draft so I just started skipping through the channels trying to find something interesting. I just about gave up and then I clicked on a channel that I'm not sure I had done so before. Maybe, I don't know. I think it was called comedy central H, or something like that.
I almost turned it off but the movie that had already started, maybe by at least 15 minutes, just kind of grabbed my attention I guess. I think the movie title was "Accepted". I think when I checked on "info" it said it came out in 2006. I don't remember it but then again I don't see as many movies and probably most on here do.
Well, I was impressed with it. I guess you'd call it a comedy/drama. Briefly about a guy who is graduating from high school but can't seem to to get accepted by a good college, to please his parents of course. And he tried to fool them about getting accepted to a good school and a trail of little lies by him keeps growing. And slowly effects a lot more kids like him. And in the end it all comes down, almost. You can't help but cheer for the guy as he faces the "establishment". I don't know who the young actor was but he was very good.
If it did come out in 2006 I wish I had known about it. I think in a regular theatre it would have been great to see. But to be honest, it may not have gotten my attention if I had read what the story line was back then. Just my slightly conservative side I guess. I admit now I would like to see it complete.
Good night. :)

I really didn't need another T shirt. But I bought one. I couldn't help it.
I've always been a big fan of Peanuts by Charles Schultz. Just so disappointed that newspapers in my area don't run the strip anymore.
Anyway I was in a Kohl's store here at the Lakeside Village a couple of days ago to buy something for my younger brother. So I'm walking by a section that features stuff stuff for young guys and there it was. A T shirt that featured Snoopy.
And here what was on the front of the T shirt:
HARD WORK NEVER HURT ANYONE...
In the center is a picture of Snoopy, smiling, sitting in a beach chair.
BUT WHY TAKE A CHANCE?

ABC To Air Wallenda Stunt
>> ABC is turning Nik Wallenda's attempted walk over Niagara Fall into a prime-time TV event next month.
The network said Friday it will devote its entire prime-time schedule to a 3 hour special on June 15.
Part of the show will be an examination of the greatest stunts of all time.
Wallenda is a member of the famous daredevil family. His great-grandfather Karl fell to his death in a tightrope walk in Puerto Rico at age 78.
Daredevils routinely used to make tightrope walks over the Niagara River Gorge, downstream of the Falls, until the practice was banned.
Wallenda's stunt will be the first attempted walk over the Falls themselves. <<

Bob was in big trouble! He had forgotten his wife's birthday! And he always had to get up early in the mornings to leave for work.
She told him, "After you leave for work tomorrow, I expect to look out in the driveway and see my gift! And it better go from zero to 200 in 6 seconds!"
So the next morning Bob left early for work as always. When his wife woke up she saw a big note he had left for her on his pillow. It said "Your gift is in the driveway." So she ran to the bedroom window and looked out. In the driveway she saw a nicely wrapped package with a pretty big bow on top. She was curious. So she hurried downstairs and ran out to the driveway . She opened the package. Her gift was a Bathroom Scale!
Bob hasn't been seen since!

Black Balls ???
A male patient is lying in bed in the hospital wearing an oxygen mask over his mouth and nose.
A young female student nurse appears and gives him a partial sponge bath.
"Nurse", he mumbles from behind the mask, "are my testicles black?"
Embarrassed, the young nurse replies, "I don't know, Sir. I'm only here to wash your upper body and feet."
He struggles to ask again, "Nurse, please check for me. Are my testicles black?"
Concerned that he might elevate his blood pressure and heart rate from worrying about his testicles, she overcomes her embarrassment and pulls back the covers.
She raises his gown, holds his manhood in one hand and and his testicles gently in the other.
She looks very closely and says, "There's nothing wrong with them, Sir. They look fine."
The man slowly pulls off his oxygen mask, smiles at her and says very slowly,
"Thank you very much. That was wonderful. Now listen very, very closely."

A man had a very important court appearance. Everything had to go just right or he would have some very big problems. He had to be in Court by 10:00 A.M. the next day.
In the morning he thought he was off to an early, good start. But the traffic was horrible on the Interstate. And then when he finally arrived at the parking lot by the Courthouse, he could not find a parking space!
He kept going back and forth, back and forth, down all the parking rows. But he just could not find an empty space!
So he looked at his watch and it was now 9:50 A.M. And he was desperate! So much so that he decided to bow his head and say a little prayer. "Dear God, this is very important. If you will provide me with a parking place I promise to start going back to Church next Sunday."
So he opened eyes and amazingly there was an empty parking place right in front of him!
So he looked up, and said, "Never mind God, I found one!"

"There's a string correlation between the warmth of your locale and how likely you are to drive a convertible. In Alaska, where even the bear farts are cold, only 0.34% of vehicles are droptops. Convertibles make up 3.92% of balmy Hawaii's car fleet. But checkout the fun lovers of the Northeast. And what's up, West Virginia? Your convertible take-rate is the same as North Dakota!"

After 46 years of marriage, a husband and wife go for counseling. When asked what the problems were, the wife went into a tirade listing every single problem that they have had every year they had been married. On and on and on she went with her list: neglect, lack of intimacy, emptiness, loneliness, feeling unloved and unlovable, and the list kept going. All the unmet needs she had to endure over the years.
Finally, after allowing her to go on for a sufficient length of time, the therapist got up, walked around the desk and after asking the wife to stand, he embraced and kissed her very long and passionately as her husband watched - with a raised eyebrow. The woman shut up and quietly sat down and was in a daze. Then the therapist turned to the husband and said, "This is what your wife needs at least 3 times a week. Can you do this?"
"Well, I can drop her off here on Mondays and Wednesdays, but on the other days I play golf."

I know I'm probably showing my age here but some of these popular baby names just posted, I am not familiar with or even heard of.
In the boys names Liam and Iker. And is Gael now the new spelling for Gale?
And in the girls names are several on the rising names list I don't know.

May 20th in US History.
On this day in 1899, a police officer nabbed the first automobile speeder.
The New York policeman on a bicycle, observed a taxi driver traveling Lexington Street in Manhattan at 12 mph.
The problem was that the speed limit was 8 mph. when driving straight and 4 mph. when turning. Jacob German, age 26, the taxi driver, was piloting an electric car for the Electric Vehicle Co.
The patrolman arrested German and took him to jail. There were no speeding tickets yet.
