I actually do. Both VH3 and Ramsey are both guys that can change a game at their positions. Ramsey has the ability to do it on both sides of the ball, actually.

I do believe he would have a much better chance getting on the field as a WR than as a corner. We have all of our corners coming back next year and VH3 > Ramsey

VH3 would probably be the best offensive player in this class if he decided to play WR. Hope he returns punts for us. His agility and speed are ideal for a return specialist.

I hope he doesn't. We have a penchant for getting our best players injured returning kicks.

Maybe just this year we can have him return punts before he's a full time starter. It's just an opportunity to take advantage of his entire skill set. When he establishes himself at corner, we'll find another punt returner. I like that role for Bailey.

Do we have another guy coming in who could also return punts? So we just don't depend on one guy?

I thought Gators would love this good news and more in this article. :)

Well, looks like I guessed wrong. The article and award for this guy must not be that big a deal on here.

Ray,

We've got bigger fish to fry right now. The only thing on our minds at the moment is Ramsey. If Hargreaves wanted recognition and all that jazz from us, he should've held out 'til signing day.

Upon further review........

Deleting the original post.

It's great that Vernon Hargreaves is rated by ESPN as the Top CB in the country and #3 Overall Prospect in the country! I know we all can't wait to see the guy do great things when he wears the Orange and Blue! :)

I like how he describes Nick Saban. Might be a clue on how Saban controls his team - through fear.

I don't like the part about him basically working to stay the same size. We have no problem getting elite safeties. Great CBs seem to be less readily available.

Great find.

Definitely thought the button on Saban's desk was going to open a trap door. Dissapointing that it only shut the office door.

Seems to me he will still have much of his 5 star capabilities even with 10-15 pounds. No?

He actually sounds like a very intelligent, intuitive individual. He's had the benefit of great coaching his entire life, and he knows he's a good player. He handles himself well.

On a side note, what's this noise about him having to shoot down rumors of him visiting Ole Miss this weekend? Where did the Rebels come from? He reportedly denied any interest, but Zach mentioned that the Ole Miss coaching staff "dropped by" his high school last week in an effort to see what kind of interest he had in them.

Anyhow, it doesn't sound like there's any reason to become hysterical. He seems to be excited to play for the Gators.

It's always neat to hear tidbits from someone like VHIII who actually go through the process, unlike most of us backbenchers on here ;)

10-15 is one thing. However, it sounds much more like he'll struggle to keep too much muscle off and lose his agility. Let's put it this way, if he didn't think it would hurt his performance as a CB, why work to keep off the muscle?

What does he mean about watching the national championship and then saying he couldn't stand Urban Meyer?

I think it meant he couldn't stand Ohio State (not Urban Meyer), after watching the NC when Ohio State beat UM.

He seems to be not only physically talented, but mature and a rare find these days.
With him at one corner and another like Roberson or Purifoy or similar talent at the other, we can invest more time into rushing and affecting the QB.

We will always have a very good to great defense with Muschamp and Durkin. The more run stoppers and pass rushers we develop will only compliment what's going on in our secondary.

In the article he said: "I liked Coach Urban (Meyer). I liked him a lot. Then I saw the national championship and I was like, oh, I don’t like him anymore." Doesn't sound like he's talking about Ohio State.

I assume he's referrencing the slip Urban made about being thankful he didn't have to play Alabama. ie: Urban's a total Pu$$y.
