Up one nothing! I'm watching it on the Spanish channel. The commentator said gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaalll after we scored. I swear it was 30 seconds long! Awesome. I don't watch soccer until it's international. Basically the world cup and this. Probably a few more but I have no clue. And obviously USA has to be in it.

Never been a Freddy Adu fan but he has played really well tonight.

So when do we play Mexico, assuming they take care of business?

Saturday. The Freddy Adu lead pass was insane, without that screwball of a pass that goal would not have happened!

never an Adu fan????
WOW
While he has had all sorts of attitude issues--no argument-----since day1 he has shown vision, creation, passing like no player in US history---
Yes he is also lazy and waits for game to come to him-----but he is most talented player we have ever had---he has no one to blame for his multiple failings on NATL team and club teams-----but his playmaking, on ball play, vision is a cut above what the USA has now.

Totally agree! Without that pass there would not have been a goal. So happy to see USA win. Im not the biggest soccer guy but if its USA anything I will watch it. USA Curling or USA Swimming, im there watching it screaming at the tv! Can't wait to watch USA play what looks like Mexico!!
By the way, why was Donovan a sub?

Mexico and Honduras tied at zero. What a surprise! Lol At least they're getting physical with each other. Makes a no score game more interesting. Especially when the commentators are speaking Spanish! Lol

Yeah, not sure what it is, just never been a huge fan.
Don't get me wrong, he's a pretty good holding midfielder and he looked incredibly good tonight. I just have never seen that killer instinct from him. If he had a streak of Clint Dempsey in him, he'd be my favorite player.

Looks like we'll be playing Mexico in the final. Definitely going to be a tough match up for us. They have a lot of attacking talent and do a good job of attacking on the wings. Chicharito is a great goal scorer. The key to the game is probably going to be how Bradley and Jones do in controlling the center midfield. If they can keep Mexico from stringing too many passes together, controlling the wings, and getting into a rhythm, the US will definitely have some chances to get some counter attacking going. If not, it could be a long game. I think Jones will add a physicality to the game that could give Mexico problems. I'm curious to see what lineup we go with. I'd like to see:
Howard
Lichaj, Goodson, Bocanegra, Cherundolo
Donovan, Bradley, Jones, Bedoya
Dempsey
Agudelo
Bedoya has been too effective to keep on the bench at this point. I love what I've seen from him. Sacha was awful today and Donovan needs to be on the field. I think this is our best lineup to start with.

I like that lineup. I want to see more of Lichaj. Every time I see him he plays lights out.

Mexico in the Rose Bowl is definitely a tough game. It is a home game for Mexico and the crowd will be tough.

I still think the USA gets killed against Mexico. Good luck stopping Chicarito with the way the back four has been playing. We have yet to look good for a full 90 minutes in this Gold Cup.

Mexico also had 5 players suspended including two starters( a defender and their keeper), so they are vulnerable too.

again--as i said---Adu is BEST player we have ever had----and only one with technical skills which match up with a mexico-----i stand proven correct
