In defense of Brantley (who isn't playing well by any means), he's continuously put into terrible positions. They bring him in on 3rd and long, and the opposing teams always respond with blitzing/pressure, which Brantley can't handle.

Meyer/Addazio should give him protection, instead they still trot out 5 WRs (as if Brantley will actually have time to look at more than 1). It's insane they've never changed this, terrible stuff all the way around.

Doing the exact opposite of what he should be doing Meyer/Addazio continues to yank a player after they run a good play. At the very least he should give each QB a set of downs, so they don't have it in there head they have to get the 1st in one or two downs.

Have you noticed how often Brantley stares down is intended received and then throws to the underneath guy 5 yards short of 1st down? By staring hm down he allows the "D" to converge and that short of the markers it always results in a fail. On 3rd down, the QB and receivers must be aware of the yardage needed for 1st down. The frustration with this team is the constant stupidity and mistakes. Brantley clearly isn't able to think under fire. That is why he fails to spot open receivers and make plays. He has gotten worse as this season progressed. I'd say the pressure has overwhelmed him. We would have been smarter to play him occasionally over the past two years to help him acclimate to the college game. In this case, he fails and we fail with him.

Just out of curiosity, what inner power allows you guys to watch this all the way through? I simply can't do it. It's some of the worst coaching, play calling, and preparation I've ever seen. Two or three consecutive plays is all I can handle and then I have to look away, shake my head, wonder how it all came to this, and then flip through the channels before returning.
