God Bless the Florida Gators and this senior class. For all you haters, I pity u. This is a great bunch of coaches and kids, we had a bad day at against the wrong team. I rather lose to the taliban than alabama

Tebow's image as the best player in college football was tarnished tonight.
Bama is just better. Bama/Texas will be a good match-up to watch.
Sad, but true. The Gators will play in many more BCS games, but this is the last one Tebow will ever play in. He did so much for us, I was really hoping he would go out on top.
Thankkfully, Tebow knows there are more important things in life than football. But still....I wanted this one for him!!!

Way premature there griz. We haven't even been assigned a bowl game. I'll take another game with Tebow and Spikes over the next generation all day long...
Premature? This game is over. We now go to a bowl, surely a big bowl. It's an observation. We need to rebound, re-focus and make sure we put forth max effort to win the bowl game. I am not saying we are going to do what Alabama did. I'm saying we need to make sure we don't. Read.

More than anything we got out-coached. Oh well, our D was surprisingly horrible, but our offense hasn't been great all year. This group has still had a great run and we are going to lose at some point. Alabama played perfectly. We played poorly and had a bunch of calls/plays go against us. It happens. Sucks, but I'll get over it

The biggest surprise was how badly our D got dominated and decimated. Bama controlled the line of scrimmage and protected their qb. Just a horrible beating. So dominated was the D, Louisville may reconsider.
Boy I agree. I didn't think Alabama was capable of that. Our defense spent a lot of time locked up with the blockers while the play whizzed right by them.

The only thing that I am disappointed about is the defense. Of any area that I felt was safe was our defense but tonights team looked alot like South Carolina and not the Boys from Florida. No explanation why but it does appear that the stars (and camera's)) were a bit to bright this time around. Must wonder though why any player would even consider wasting his career by getting snockered and then why no one would keep him from his car. Dirty politics? I think so. But the player must live with his actions as we all do. Always a Gator and will continue to be so! Go Gators! RESPECT!

God I stayed up all night finishing Term papers- but I wake up at 5:00pm (MT) and this is what I wake up to- god, I just feel so bad for Timmy- I wake up to him yelling at everyone and then Bama scores to go up 32-13, then when it finally looks like he might at least be able to go down swinging there's a drop and that's it. I hope that we play TCU actually, since they are considered the best of the best out of the teams that arent named Texas or Alabama. It would earn us some respect if we beat them and would help hush the cries of the mid majors.
And true to the offensive gameplan of completely abandoning the run. You have to dance with who brought you, and the run game brought us here, but we did nothing to work with the run game. Addazio looks to still be in the learning stage, and hopefully next year he can be more successful

Not too surprised. Too many penalties this season have shown a lack of discipline imo. Tebow and the offense have been too hot and cold this season and not consistent. Poor job on defense with the inability to wrap up and tackle and the offense has had A LOT of 3 and Outs on opening drives and crucial drives this year. What a terrible way for a wonderful run by the senior class to finish, but it's their fault for the result and no one else to blame. We need some big fast strong backs that can run inside the the tackles in the SEC.
How would that help- we'd only give them the ball 4 or 5 times. You know for all the crap we gave Mullen, and for all the crap Addazio got while running it all the time- to see Moody, Demps and Rainey combine for less than 5 carries and to see Tim have like 12 is crap, why didn't we run the ball- this wasn't a blowout the whole game.

Bama will have alot coming back next year, They are gonna be scary good again
We are potentially gonna be losing a ton on defense. Hopefully the juniors have enough pride to come back and avenge this embarrassing loss. Our offense will have a new look and I trust Brantley to surprise the nation...but now I'm worried about this defense.

We return our entire offensive line (plus Patchan back), Dubose and Carl Moore, and our entire backfield. And then on defense, depending on who goes early, we return probably over half of our 2 deep.
"Hardly anyone" is hardly accurate.

I wish Ingram was on our team.
Looks like my fears that the Tide defense was better than ours showed up. Our offense is getting figured out and something needs to be done in the offseason. Got to find more ways to exploit matchups.
P.S. I think Longhorns roll over 'Bama in the title game.

Tim Tebow didn't play great, but he didn't play horribly. It's not his fault they scored so much.
Damn, I'm so upset at our defense...the biggest game and they choked.
Nelson doesn't drop the 4th down we still lose but at least Tim goes out as a good player, now he's just the guy who got beat down (not to us obviously but to others).

I don't care what anyone says but Dunlap let this team down causing disruptions all week. Meyer said it. You can't tell me these distractions did not get to some of these defensive players. They were not even tackling well and their heads were not in this game.

I think we allowed Bama to control this game. A quick FG and it seems like we gave up the run. We saw Cody up the gut and decided to run away from him without even testing him. It's like we had no confidence in our line to get a push.
I mean, I've wished we didn't run up the middle so much in other games, but I do understand that it's needed to establish our version of the power running game. We just abandoned it so quickly and played right into their hands.
But our offense still played fairly well. But our defense...when did they forget to tackle?

he's also wrong about Bama- they lose at the very least 2 of there top 3 defensive players- Arenas and Cody (Cody is the equivalent of Tebow- a guy you can't replace with recruiting- he's just so large).

Moody had one swing pass he slipped on.
Demps missed an easy swing pass.
Rainey took the wrong hole and got stopped on a short run.
But we did have some success with the jet sweep.

3 main issues I have as follows:
1. Very limited (and I emphasize very) running game. We have Demps, Rainey, Moody, and James (the first half anyway). How about getting the ball to Hernandez via screen passes too? Teebow runs are OK when they are integrated with a balanced attack but balanced we were not. We had speed and did not utilize it, in my opinion.
2. Poor tackling of the opponent upon contact. I realize they were large, strong, and well-conditioned but they basically run right through and over us.
3. The Teebow interception. Unacceptable at that stage of the contest and in a game of this magnitude. I believe we had a chance for a comeback up to this point.
So, these are the 3 things that bother me most about our performance.
I realize there were other factors involved in our loss.
I tip my hat to Alabama - for executing their victory. They earned it.
I just feel we fell very short of what could have been via the shortcomings as listed.
Proud of our team for getting this far and for everything they did this season.
Go Gators!
