That was before the NC game is different from the bowl game era of the BCS so you may be right. The Rose Bowl is always on ABC so when the Rose Bowl was the NC in 04 it was on ABC but now that they changed it to a separate game it is probably on Fox.

From this morning's Tampa Tribune:

>> MOODY UPDATE: RB Emmanuel Moody (ankle) appears to be out for Saturday's 12:30 p.m. game against Florida International (pay-per-view only). But Meyer is hopeful he will be back for the FSU gamenext week. Meyer said he doesn't have a high ankle sprain which would be keep him out longer. <<

Another tip that you might have a luck....

If you do have any friend or relative who has a Comcast account, ask that person to use the remote access by using his/her Comcast account to use the espn360.

Otherwise, I tried to find a way for anyone to purchase a game via espn360 online but couldn't find it yet. But here is the phone numbers you or anyone can call and ask at # 888-549-ESPN.

I'll be out of the thread today for the most part. Gonna be watching the PPV broadcast with several people out in the den.

Hoping to see Johnny Brantley get a lot of PT in the second half.

Don't be surprised if FIU's offense does what everyone else has done this year... dink and dunk us to death to keep our O off the field and load the box and blitz like crazy on defense.

But I have a feeling our re-shuffled OL, which looked very good in pass protection against a very good USC defense last Saturday, will do much, much better in picking up the blitz today. I also think having both Pounceys and Carl Johnson on the interior opens up better run-lanes inside for our backs too.

I thinking the Gators should have 300+ rushing yards today.

Go Gators!

I think a lot of that has to do with running the dive all the time and not getting him in space. It's pretty obvious he's uber talented, and I'm sure he'll do exceptionally well behind a more passing oriented QB. Actually, all of our backs will benefit from having a new QB.

"Smooth and polished" doesn't win football games.

Yards win football games. You asked why he doesn't get the ball more. It's simple: per carry, Demps averages more yards. Then you claimed those numbers were awful/invalid because they haven't had enough carries.

As of today they're close to 160 carries. They had 150 coming into the game. That's enough to establish a fair YPC average.

"Rainey gets praise

UF running backs coach Kenny Carter has been involved in college football for 15 years. And he's almost never seen a more "natural back" than UF's Chris Rainey.

"When he's running in between the tackles, he has no fear," Carter said. "It's hard for young guys to be that way very early. But he can do all that. That's what makes him exceptional."

Actually he isn't. Throughout fall practice the coaches were in Demps for his poor blocking. Hell, there have been videos posted with evidence to just how bad a blocking back Demps is.

And Moody has proven to be less durable, your point?

Demps is a state champ weightlifter and Rainey was skinny as heck soming out of HS (but has since beefed up). I think Rainey is smoother and wants to change directions, while Demps is more of a slasher type. Rainey has better hands, Demps is stronger. They are both small and will struggle to block a DE or big LB, becasue they are giving up 60-80 lbs.

Stupid penalty gave FIU an extra 15 yards after they converted a 3rd down on us. Major hit the receiver after he got out of bounds. Then Haden tried to bait the QB...relying on the pressure to force a short arm throw, but their QB made a nice throw for a good gain for them. Halftime, and you have to admit, sometimes it's nice to have a game like this where you can just sit back and relax and watch the Gators plow over someone like this and not be biting your nails all game long.

My main concern, we've had a couple of linemen with what appears to be ankle sprains, primarily Carl Johnson and one of the Pounceys, so it's time to pull the starters and let the starters rest up and heal.

I liked us working on the passing game some, especially watching that underneath passing game that looked really good. Where has that been this year? Rainey has looked good today too. Some wicked cuts by the man from Lakeland.

We allowed a FG off a darned personal foul penalty, but otherwise, the D has been dominant. That pick 6 by Spikes was absolutely marvelous.

Funny thing is that almost every game...even SEC games...were like this last year. Starting with the second half of the Arky game last year...until we hit the SEC championship game, we rolled through every team. I never had so much fun watching games. Nice to see maryland back up over fsu with less than 5 mins left. It's good to see Mullen's squad in a close game with Arky.

Now come on Duke...

Be interesting to see comparison of how our subs do compared to Bama's today. Each will play about the same minutes. So far Bama's only got a field goal with 9 minutes left in 4th.

great play by Hines!!!

Reminds me of David Nelson's first TD last year. Maybe we'll see more playing time from Hines now.

Good catch and willpower from Omarius Hines for his first TD. He dragged his defender into the endzone. The cb was hanging on for dear life on Hines's jersey.

Bama did not score in the 3rd qtr... still 38-0 into 4th qtr now
We call this our prevent offense, which we practice often. It's where Saban pulls every starter and switches to the 3rd string late in the game. Works every time. ;)
