We call this our prevent offense, which we practice often. It's where Saban pulls every starter and switches to the 3rd string late in the game. Works every time. ;)
Must be a new thing. Usually Saban's throwing it into the endzone with big leads in the final quarter.

Yup, but so are ours too!
Bama finally scored... 45-0 at 4 mins left.

He lives vicariously through himself, he is the most interesting coach in the entire universe. Stay thirsty, Nicky.

A QB with a fast release and great ability to read a defense can make it work very well.

We're getting picks this year but we can't recover a fumble to save our lives. And I don't get the impression that Omar Hunter is having his best game ever.

He'd have to be extraordinary to win it. By that I mean his numbers will have to be out of this world because of the Tebow factor. He's won it recently and I think voters would go out of their way to vote for someone other than a Gator.
But I guess they can't label our QBs "system" quarterbacks because Brantley is a different type of quarterback then Tebow.

I liked the way Brantley looked down field never staring down his receiver but knew right when to throw. Brantley's got the "it" factor.

JB will be one of those that consistantly throws for 300+ a game. That would be hard to deny if we win the east and then the seccg.

No such thing as "it" factor. Brantley is a polished pocket passing quarterback. Boy can play!

Hard to do that in the SEC, MCG. Too many good defenses. That said, Brantley's future is bright.

Yes but Meyer did it all season in 2006. I am not sure the SECCG is the game to start doing that with Brantley.
With that said, I feel very confident that Brantley could do the job if necessary.

I dunno. If Alabama is leading, Tim's passing game is off, and the drive absolutely depends on the passing game, I wouldn't hesitate to put Brantley in for at least a series. Brantley has very mature passing skills.

We should have pulled Tebow early in a few other games this year to give Brantley some real PT. However his confidence must be sky high right now at least.

Maybe so, but I don't see any way that Meyer puts him in against Saban's D. Presumably he's only seen the prevent in real games.

Beg to differ on that statement. Granted he hasn't played against great competition, but I can gurantee you he didn't play against prevent D's. Anytime he's been in have been in blowouts. Why would a losing team play prevent?

He will throw more INT's than Tebow. But i expect to see more 300+ passing yards too.

Not worried being without AJ Jones v.s. FSU, but we'll need him in the Bama game. The experienced depth he gives us is important. FSU is going to be hard-strapped to consistently move the ball on UF with their swing pass/run sweep offense IMO.
Btw, what exactly was the injury to AJ?
