In light of the diva/stud pic threads, it was mentioned how we needed to start up another misc. pics thread like we had on the old board -- one for pictures of Pubsters, family, pets, etc. Basically any personal pics someone might want to share. So, I decided to start this thread, and therefore will post some pics I had shared on the old thread.

Feel free to add your own, and add as many pics as you'd like. I know I'll add several, and will continue to add to it as I have new pics I want to share. Hope everyone enjoys it!

TB -- Thanks very much! I love my dogs. Got all three of them from two area humane societies, and I just love them to death. Can't imagine not having them here. Bo is SO handsome!!! He's a very beautiful dog. Looks like he's enjoying his new home. :) Also -- nice fence work!

Thanks! She is a Goldendoodle. Half Golden Retriever and half standard poodle. She is really smart and learns stuff super fast. The really nice thing is that she doesn't shed. Every now and then a hair or two comes off, but it is rare.

My 2 nephews, now 1 and 2 1/2 lived with us for the last 9 months, so from when we got her at 8 weeks till now, and she has been awesome with them. When she was under 3 months old she could get a little nippy sometimes when Tyler (the two year old) would wave stuff in front of her face (what do you expect though). Now she just gives a good lick in the face every now and then. Tyler can jump on her and such and she doesn't try to bite him. She is pretty much the perfect dog! (Obviously I would think that though.)

Concur both with PMC concerning enjoying all of the pictures and with Jag concerning fishing in Alaska. :) I bet that would be an awesome experience, and the view looks great!! But I'd love being able to go just on a fishing trip there and return with some amazing pics and stories like jgator did.

These are some pics I took for work while on assignment. I was doing a "new business/lifestyle" type story on a new bed and breakfast that had opened in the area, on Lay Lake. It turned out to be an amazingly beautiful house with wonderful front and back yards and gorgeous views. The entire home and area is really just very beautiful, and I'd love to go there again sometime and perhaps even stay a night there if I ever have the opportunity. The owner is a very sweet, friendly woman.

This gives an idea of how some of the walls are painted in this house. A self-taught, fairly well-known, artist from the Birmingham area actually painted these walls himself long before the new owners purchased it and opened it as a bed and breakfast. I wish I had taken several more pics of the entire house, including other walls that were painted, but since it was for work I didn't want to go overboard.

A Cahaba Lily~ it grows wild on the banks of the Cahaba River near where I grew up. I remember my daddy taking us to float down the river to see it in full bloom in the spring........one of my favorite memories.

vanders -- SO glad you posted that pic!! I love the Cahaba lilies. There is one river or large creek near here that I remember someone mentioning they grow by. It's one of few places you can see them around here in Alabama, with the Cahaba River being one of those few places as you mentioned. They're so beautiful.

Hymenocallis coronaria is the proper name for the plant commonly referred to as the Cahaba Lily. The plant grows in rivers across the southeast United States. Current populations exist in South Carolina, Georgia and Alabama.

The flowers bloom between early May and late June. The flowers usually open late in the day and begin to wither the next day. In most cases only one flower will open each day. The seeds take shelter in the crevices of rocks found in swift-moving currents.

Many canoe trips take place around the time they bloom~ one reason I LOVE to visit my mama in the spring.

Great Pics.......I have some of my two that are priceless. One of them as her dressed as Sleeping Beauty in a decorated red wagon, with the older bro Dressed as a BodyGuard pulling her. This is Red Mitchum, my dad. He passed away four years ago. This is a pic of when he was the MC of Gator Growl when he was a student. He MC'd the Growl around 1968 and then again in 1972. I might be off about those dates. :) I've been told that he is the only student to MC Gator Growl when he was a student himself, the only one to have done it twice and then 3 times. I guess that's true...? If you know otherwise, I don't mind anyone setting me straight! :)

Blanca Lake from this weekend's backpacking trip. The runoff from the glacier gives it that mily, emeraldy, green color. It was cool, but a hell of a hike in.
