UF looks to bounce back at home
The No. 4 Florida gymnastics team (6-1, 2-1 Southeastern Conference) returns to the Stephen C. O’Connell Center at 7 p.m. Friday night to host the Sixth Annual Link to Pink meet presented by Nationwide. The Gators host No. 14 LSU (2-6, 2-2 SEC), as both teams will wear pink to raise awareness about breast cancer prevention and treatment.
“This is probably my favorite meet out of the entire season besides the post-season meets, like SECs and nationals,” senior Amy Ferguson said. “It’s great to be able to dedicate this meet to such a great cause.”
“Link to Pink is so much fun,” sophomore Alaina Johnson said. “Last year I know the crowd was huge and it was just so much fun to be able get there and perform for a great cause and for all these people that come in to not only support us but to support breast cancer and to support the survivors.”
