Top Hogs come to Hogtown, Florida

The No. 8 University of Florida gymnastics team (3-0, 1-0) hosts their second meet of the season with a quad meet at 7 p.m. Friday night. The Gators have stiff competition as Southeastern Conference rival Arkansas (6-0, 2-0 SEC) comes to the Stephen C. O’Connell Center tied for the No. 1 spot in national rankings with UCLA. No. 24 Maryland (3-2) and Bridgeport (2-1) are also included in the quad meet.

Florida kicked off their first SEC meet at Kentucky last Friday, scoring a season-best 196.275 and swept the Wildcats taking the top three spots in all five events. “It was a really nice competition, especially against one of the first schools in the SEC for the season,” junior All-American Marissa King said. “It was really nice for us to get out there, and to get a good away score again and get ready for more SEC schools coming up in the season.”
