There are three regular-season matches remaining and three Southeastern Conference women’s tennis teams with undefeated records left and all three will play in Gainesville this weekend, beginning on Friday at 5 p.m. when second-ranked Florida plays host to sixth-ranked Georgia at Linder Stadium at Ring Tennis Complex.

The Gators enter this weekend’s pair of home matches with a 19-1 overall record, including an 8-0 SEC mark. The Lady Bulldogs, who have won an SEC-best 12 consecutive matches, are 14-1 overall and 8-0 in league action.

Tennessee, listed at No. 14 in this week’s ITA/Campbell National Rankings and are 15-4 overall and 7-0 in the SEC, visits Gainesville on Sunday for a 1 p.m. match-up against the Gators.

Admission to all regular-season home matches is free.

The first 100 fans in attendance at Friday’s match receive a free Florida tennis workout shirt.

Florida also enters Friday’s match against Georgia sporting a 99-match regular-season home winning streak. The Gator’s last regular-season setback at home was on April 7, 2002, when Georgia defeated Florida, 4-3. The Bulldog’s win was the first – and remains the only – time in program history an SEC team has defeated the Gators in Gainesville, where the team is 169-1 versus league foes.

After this weekend, Florida has just one regular-season match remaining. The Gators play host to South Carolina on Sat., April 16 at 3 p.m., before competing in the SEC Tournament that runs from April 21-24 in Knoxville, Tenn.
