ShareGymnastics ends regular season
The No. 1 University of Florida gymnastics team (10-1, 5-1 SEC) hosts its final 2012 regular-season meet at 7 p.m. Friday night. The Gators will host No. 7 Utah (7-2, 3-1 Pac 12) in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center as they say goodbye to their three outstanding seniors.
“It’s our Senior Night,” Florida coach Rhonda Faehn said. “Of course, we will be honoring Nicole, Elizabeth and Amy — three seniors that have been tremendous to our program. They are going to stepping out there and competing for their last time in the O’Dome so I’m sure it will be a little bit emotional for them but exciting at the same time.”
Nicole Ellis, Amy Ferguson and Elizabeth Mahlich have each been apart of NCAA Championships, two NCAA Regional crown titles, and the 2010 Southeastern Conference Championships title.
